Just let Hamels bat lead-off. For fun. And put Howard at 3rd.

Edit: Maybe the other team will be so confused that they'll forfeit.

It's a microfracture, which is painful like a bad bone bruise.

Yes, it basically is a bone bruise. Hurts like a mofo. Just thinking about it is making me grit my teeth.

Well then someone will have to do the same to the guy who hit PK.
And then someone else will have to do it to that guy.
...
And then we'll have ECHL-levels players and Zac Rinaldo playing top line minutes while the stars of the NHL are in lobotomy wards due to head trauma, all because slashing someone's wrist is now cause for blunt head trauma.

You're a pretty poop person if you really think that way.

Get it taped up, get out there, and score a goal.

I have to be honest: For all the talk about how Laviolette was the reason Vinny came here, I have a feeling (and we never got to find out) that even Laviolette would not have quite so enthralled by Lecavalier after the back injury last season.

Watching last night's NSH vs CHI game, I can't see Vinny contributing positively for NSH. And considering their current roster is better than the Flyers' in my opinion, he would've done quite the same here under Lavy as he's done under Chief.

The only way I think he might be able to contribute positively to any team is being a stationary one-timer option on the PP. I think his one-timer was the only positive thing Hexy mentioned of his yesterday.

I know. The lack of logic and objectivity is just overloading, sometimes.

Even when he was out of the PP, or had the puck in the offensive zone, he seemed very hesitant to shoot. I don't know if it was a lack of confidence or what, but he wasn't brought here to be Adam Oates.

I agree. I don't think he can contribute to any team, not significantly anyway. The game just keeps getting faster and he keeps getting slower unfortunately.

Also no team can afford to have a one-timer PP specialist at what Vinny probably expects to get paid.

Vinny would have to sign a Dany Heatley contract. One of those, "You used to be really good, so we'll take a small shot at you," types.

I liked the new Star Wars trailer.

Oh, and I still think they're firing Berube. Just not this week.

I'm glad Couturier and BSchenn are going to Worlds. It can't hurt to have them both still playing hockey right now instead of playing beer pong.

"Micro-fracture"

When was the last time a team was honest and clear about an injury, especially in the playoffs?

I'd give the story more weight if they called it an "upper body injury."

I listened to two Detroit Radio Stations today on the way home from work. One believes Babcock is on his way out due to the way he's handling the goaltending situation. Both Babcock and Howard admit that they haven't talked, it was the goaltending trainer who told him he was backing up tonight. This might be a little bit of a reach. The other radio station is betting and speculating that there is a relationship between Shanhan and Babcock.

Knowing Toronto, even if they get Babcock, they'll find away to screw this up. Brian Burke speculation went on a year before Burke talked to Toronto and accept the job. I'm not a Burke fan but he does know how to build a team. Burke gets the Leafs into the playoffs based on his moves but Burke was fired the summer prior, the Leafs never recover.
