This game has turned out better than I expected honestly. Had we not shot ourselves in the foot the entire first period, who knows what the score could be.

Well, the second goal is on the refs. Should have been coincidental roughing calls. How that never came about is mind boggling.

That was a ridiculously bad choice in the neutral zone. Not a good game for him

Well I guess home ground advantage decides calls from the zebs - definitely.

PP v Comoever gives them the winning goal!!! Say what you want Rags fans but that's all they wrote. Hope the calls continues back at Consol - FOR the HOME team.

F biased bastadds!

Edit: Doesn't blood mean immediate penalty in hockey of doesn't that count when the Rags offend?

Embarrassing job by the refs. Seems like the refs had money on the game. It's the only way to explain that atrocity.

The game went about as poorly as I expected. Fleury played well. He was the only one that really stood out to me. Overall NYR dominated the play. The team is crippled with the defense. Nobody can move the puck so they are just dead in the water with Johnston's system.

Answer: all 30 teams are subject to the salary cap. Having the two headed monster is great and all but you sacrafice the balance needed to make a deep run when winnik etc are your wing options.
- BillKessel

And the last 5 cup winning teams have had at the least 52% of their cap tied up between 5 players. Malkin and Crosby are not the penguins cap problems. It's money tied up to underperforming players... the ones that are not playing up to their cap hit.

Thank you. Not to mention Letang and Hoff aren't even in the game for another 11 mil. Between players hurt and players that suck, there's plenty of money available.

Letang is a major problem. His contract is by far the worst on the team. Far worse than Sutter's. Underperforming players? How about the fact we have NOTHING on the farm at forward to speak of. That is more of a problem.
