To the poster who keeps sending me naked pics of himself via PM, please stop. I am not interested at this point. I thought I made this abundantly clear. You may want to go back and see that I advocated for no naked pics via PM. I have posted numerous times about how I don't appreciate naked pics even though I don't hate them. I do not have a problem with what you do in your personal time, but I do not believe things like this should be shared on a hockey website. I'm open and available to discuss any of my opinions, and if I disagree with someone, I will address that directly, rather than indirectly.

As Steve Mason's employer, I guess the Flyers' medical staff felt he was well enough to play in NHL games that they were paying him for. In the eyes of the Flyers, those games still mattered (even though most of us feel otherwise).

Playing in the World Championships is even less meaningful than the meaningless games the Flyers played after the Boston loss.

The players in any sport will argue that their game is meaningful. But fans in North American don't care, in general. I mean, I'll root for the USA and any Flyers in it, but I won't follow it like the NHL playoffs, Olympics, World Cup, WJC, etc.

So now we have a GM looking to really evaluate the team and coaches and make a good decision instead of a knee jerk reaction. We always want patience but when it is exercised we are unhappy with it. I just don't know what people want anymore.

All players by the end of the season have some sort of issue. Bellemare is getting shoulder surgery. Why aren't you asking about them not sitting him?

Yes they want Mason to rest. That's because they want him ready for an NHL season and to try and win the Stanley cup. The Flyers get no reward for what team Canada does.

I am pretty sure they probably even said to Jake they wouldn't mind if he rested since he played a full season. None of these teams really want any of their players paying for fear something dumb happens.

Mason is arguably our franchise goalie. Something we haven't had in a very long time.

It's a known risk to the owners. Every team faces the same factors. If they don't like it change the language in the CBA.

I didn't think it was as bad as Stone made it seem. Definitely a chop, but not suspension-worthy.

In Stone's defense, you never know if the slash hit a nerve or made his arm go temporarily numb. A small whack in the right spot can do that, so Subban's slash definitely could have. Because I think their was intent to injure, I would be okay with a suspension. But since Stone returned, I don't see the league doing anything.

Now on the other hand, his rolling over on the ice was a bit much. If he had just dropped to the ice or grabbed his hand, okay. But the drop and roll was a little over the top.
