Its tough to decide what Phil is worth. I think he would do wonders on this team. He is a first line winger with speed.

As someone living in Boston, I am actually a little sad the Bruins aren't in the playoffs. The energy at bars is great when there are some high stakes hockey games on, and that will be less likely now.

He's young, fits in with their rebuild timeline, it'd take some kind of overpayment that really doesn't make sense for the sabres at this time.

There are only 3-4 teams that could fit Kessel in without giving cap back, which could lower the cost of Kessel.

If they offered Phaneuf and a 2nd for Buffalo's 7th...I'd still pass. Talk about poopty contracts. He's already 29 and slowing down and signed for 6 more full seasons.

I don't post too often but I enjoy your blogs. They always contain more information and objective opinion than I find in traditional media. As someone who can't see the games live and only watches the highlights when it's not too depressing, I feel I still have a pretty good feel about the team because of your blogs.
Of course, it's good to glean various opinions on the team from some of those who post frequently.
