I think the Preds beat the Hawks in 7, so I am not worried about the Blues/Hawks matchup this year

Boston to rebuild now?

Ill take Lucic!

- ImThatGuy

They need to retool at least.

I'd move Chara for something if they could.

The clearance of Patrick Kane changed my mind on that series

That's funny, because the clearance of Kane, cemented it for me. I just think the Hawks are going to lean on him thinking he will be the normal Kane, but he will just not be in game shape, let alone playoff game shape.

I really feel this is actually a make it or break it series for them, if they beat Nashville, it will not stun me if they go to the SCF as well, because then Kane will be back in game shape for rds 2-4.

I'll never forgive that caveman for his hit on Miller...

I'm interested to see if Minny can put it all together this year, personally.

miller is no longer here, so meh.

Also, they can want "Kings ransom" for him, I doubt they will get it.

2nd this year and next and call it a day.

Chiarelli fired

"Seguin is not a Bruins kind of player"

- sbroads24

Saw that one coming. Interesting that two of the more feared teams from the past couple years didn't even make the playoffs this year.

I think its legal to use wormwood here now. I swear I read somewhere that the whole reason people hallucinated off of it in the turn of the century was because they were either combining it with something else or they were also getting poisoned by the led in spoons or something like that. Regardless, Absinthe is just alcohol. I don't mind Ouzo in limited amounts, but Absinthe is just way too much of that taste.

Haha, this would be hilarious if true. The Mad Hatter, Roman Empire and poor inner-city residents can support your argument.

I said it right after the trade, the arrogance of the front office will catch up to them.

It's one of the reasons I hate hearing the phrase "Murray type of player"

That mindset will lead to bad trades like the Seguin one. I just hope Murray doesn't make a similar mistake down the road

Tyler Myers is gone man get over it.

But in all serious, you make a great point with the above bolded statement.

"Nolan guys".

That being said, I still think Darcy Regier turning down Vanek for Seguin will be a blessing in disguise in the very long run.

Really, that doesn't bother me so much. What bothers me is that he matched that horrid offer sheet in the first place. I can't say we would be in great shape now with all those 1st round picks, or that Vanek for sure wouldn't have led Edmonton from the bottom dwellings but Imagine this team now with RNH, Hall and Yakupov. And a lottery pick this year.

I respect Parise and Suter, and like Pomminville. They have better depth this year, imo... Perhaps a lack of big game goaltending might sink them.
