We have 4 top 10 picks in the last........

30 years

- cabin

Erik rasmussen was one of them. So one of our 4 looks at a great player came in the worst draft class ever. Chara is probably the only hall of famer from that year and he was a third rounder. Hoping reinharts draft class is better, i dont remember a soul complaining that we tanked last year.

Meh. Absinthe has a lot of Mystique around it, but it tastes like crap and works just as well as other Alcohol. The first company to offer legal Absinthe in the US was Hangar 1/St. Geroge Spirits here in the Bay area. Apparently, they had a line down the block the day it became available and sold out all of their stock in 2 hours. St. George is a good place to do a tasting if any of you ever find yourselves out my way...

There's my reason.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but that stuff is pure fluff nowadays. It's basically green alcohol now, the hallucinogens or whatever that fun stuff that was inside of it way back when isn't present any longer. Unless you can find some very old school stuff from Europe (from what I've been told).

I know this because a few years ago a group of us were going to buy a few bottles and go to the moon. But I did some read(reed)ing on it, and I was VERY disappointed after finding that out.

- DontBeThatGuy

I'm pretty sure there were never any true hallucinogenic properties in it, ever. But fluff on the other hand, well from I know that is just another name for some very hallucinogenic stuff.

Mike Ricci not Mark Recchi.

Mike Ricci was a ppg player his 1st year in Quebec.

- dadeadhead

I realise this, I just spelled his name wrong, hah. Mike Ricci was a ppg player during 1 year in an era where everyone talks about how easy it was to score and players were putting up almost 2 ppg. He'd be lucky to be a 30-40 point player in today's NHL.

I ordered a bottle from the Czech Republic several years ago, with the real wormwood in it. It set me back 100 bucks. I drank about half of it and I must say, I was pretty much sober. Honestly, the "weaker" stuff they sell here in the states made me feel sillier.

I think its legal to use wormwood here now. I swear I read somewhere that the whole reason people hallucinated off of it in the turn of the century was because they were either combining it with something else or they were also getting poisoned by the led in spoons or something like that. Regardless, Absinthe is just alcohol. I don't mind Ouzo in limited amounts, but Absinthe is just way too much of that taste.

He was a pretty good scorer that played with grit and leadership.

I'd welcome a player like him anytime on my team.

I'm wondering how many Sabres fans are appeased by the apparent transparency the league is exhibiting with the lottery.

Who is gona get McDavid?
By horrible logic You mean :
Arizona has an 86% not to get him, they wont
Edmonton has a 89% to not get him, they wont
Leafs 91% chance to not get him, they wont
Hurricanes 92% to not get him, they wont
.
.
.
.
.
Bruins. 99% chance to not get him, so they wont.

WHO GETS HIM THEN, NOBODY?!?!?

You do remember having better odds and not winning last year, right?

Buffalo and Arizona traded their whole teams. That is intentional tanking. Toronto kept their stars.

I didn't realize trading away ufa goalies and 3rd liners classified as "whole team"

- Sabresfan-365

And those goalies are backups on any typically successful teams, which makes it even funnier.

I'm interested in seeing this crazy list of "codes" that they're supposed to release on Friday that will show all of the combinations that can be drawn and what each one means.

Doesn't that mean the list will be over 24,000 combinations?? (14 possibilities for the first ball, 13 for the 2nd, etc through 4 = 14*13*12*11)

That will be such an interesting document to look at.

Only makes it look more legitimate when Philadelphia wins the lottery.
