I think everyone agrees with him... problem is, who is going to take him, where the Flyers don't have to eat salary?? He's screwing the Flyers, being on the Flyers... and he would screw them if he went somewhere else and they had to eat salary. At this point, the only viable hope is to have the new coach work him in somewhere until he retires next season (we're praying).. Unless a miracle happens and a team needs to hit the cap floor and takes his full contract on..

If he wanted to terminate the deal he could become a FA. A mutual termination would be awesome.

Retirement will take him, it's not going to be easy to move him.

i do. and that's no joke. not on that play, but i'm struggling with catching pucks lately. a lot of pop outs. it's driving me crazy. led to a goal last night. nevermind that it was a powerplay and the rebound went to a guy directly in front of me with nobody near him off a point shot. my d is really horrendous. they just don't understand simple positional hockey and constantly have guys behind them. i routinely have 3+ breakaways a game, not to mention eve more 2 on 1's and 3 on 2's. on another sequence that lead to a goal with :25 left in the first there were 2 forwards behind my one d on a goal mouth play off a cycle at even strength. seriously, how does this happen? i got a piece of the cross ice shot with my left toe but the puck laid there for the forward to jam in the rebound. moving the puck out once they get it is pretty good, but getting caught in the neutral zone for cherry picking or bank passes of the wall or defending in our zone is just brutal.

Well, I'd offer to play for you if I were closer. I'm an adequate C-level skater, I can't handle the puck very well, but I can play positional D and can make a fairly okay pass. I'm kinda like Grossmann without the size.

Vinny basically says he is better off somewhere else or here if Chief is gone.

- ob18

His agent said that a few weeks ago, but having Vinny say it himself is a great way to get things moving.

Yea. When we trade Grossman, Sanheim, and our 2 firsts to Pittsburgh for Craig Adams, I'll be stoked. Because that's what we're talking about, adding more assets instead of just the players themselves.
- jmatchett383

I think Grossmann could be moved for a low round pick.

I think Schenn could also be moved for maybe a 3rd or 4th rounder.

For once, I'd like to know what it feels like to root for a team that doesn't always have a big pile(s) of stinking albatross poop to deal with.

Wonder if he'd agree to a mutual termination just to be free of Berube

I am surprised that that option seems so far off. It would help Vinny in finding whatever deal and team he wants. Just seems like it would make everything easier for him.

This would be a huge risk on Vinny's part. He'd be walking away from guaranteed $$ and may not get another contract. God I hope it happens, but if I were an NHL GM, I wouldn't even consider signing Vinny. He's finished, IMO, and he's lying to himself, that he can still be effective. Harsh but true.

So the Flyers even tweeted the following from Vinny:

"I like this team. I like the players. But for my future I guess we'll have to wait and see what happens."

Why would they tweet this if there is nothing happening? Seems like either they are going to mutually terminate. If I were Hexy, I'd hang on to Berube just to force this to happen.

I know the risk.

He also can stay and risk Berube coming back and him being stapled to the scratch list too.

I think he could find a one year type of deal.

True. Nobody else is going to pay him close to what he's getting from Ed.

Yeah, that guy thinks Malkin wants out and Crosby may follow. He was sounding the death knell last week on MvsW

I guess. But leaving millions on the table? I mean I'm sure he's made enough at this point, but it would be a very tough family decision to just walk away like that.
