1. Streit
2. MacDonald
3. Schultz (Just re-signed)
4. Del Zotto
5. Grossmann
6. Schenn
7. Gudas
8. Manning

Is it wrong to feel like the Schultz signing might be a huge mistake? Judging by Hextall's comments today, it sounds like he's not against Morin playing next season at all, if he's ready. So even if Morin were ready (Not saying he is), how do you even fit him into the line up?

I now look at Scott Laughton after the Bellemare signing. What if we allowed Bellemare to walk in favor of Laughton?

- SuperSchennBros

There's only one way it could be a mistake, and that's if Schultz doesn't play well. They didn't let Bellemare walk.

We just re-signed Bellemare. I'm speaking of Schultz and Bellemare from the saying perspective and in favour of two younger players.

I know they just re-signed Bellemare. I don't see those moves being in favor of younger players.

Some interesting quotes from Sean in this piece:

http://www.csnphilly.com/...ensive-role-open-question

- TheGreat28

He had Brayden Schenn as his right wing for nine games but produced just one assist.

Couturier actually had two goals and five assists for seven points after Simmonds got hurt.

Noticed another piece of dishonesty/incorrect data in that article from the Flyers worst beat writer.

Yes, it’s true only 49.3 percent of his starts (when he comes on the ice) are in the offensive zone

The number at ES is 40%. Overall, it's even lower.

My thinking is that Hexy would like to remove the overpaid 3rd pairing/4th line players and replace them with just as effective guys who make less.

Gudas/Schultz = $3M
Schenn/Grossmann = $7M

I think Hexy re-signed PEB because he's a good player and versatile. If he can't find an adequate top 9 LW, I wouldn't mind seeing PEB get a shot.

Bellemare was the 3C this season and 7th in TOI amongst forwards. That's a not a role player, that's an important player.

Schultz faced the hardest competition and played the 2nd most minutes of any dman. That's not a role player.

Yep. By having these cheaper pieces on O and D hextall has more flexibility to make moves.
