Tim Murray said he's not having contract talks with Lindback (which is crazy to me).

And anyone who has Larsson on the 4th line is flat out delusional.

Kane // McDavid // (insert RW offseason here)
Moulson // Ennis // Gionta
Larsson // Girgensons // Foligno
Deslauriers // Dalpe // McCormick (or whoever)

Bogosian // Georges
Ristoleinen // Zadorov
Pysyk // Weber

(insert new starter here)
Johnson

This is what I'm hoping for next year.

Reinhart makes the team IMO

As I said on my other reply. He is good, but he is not great and I am not going to give a better, more well rounded offensive talent less ice time to make room for him.

There's just no space to put him. He's also my hypothetical insurance policy trade bait if we don't win the lottery. (crosses fingers we do)

No!!! lol. We are debating Larssons spot in the lineup. I like Larsson, but he is not better then Girgenson, Eihel, or Reinhart. Which leaves him as a 4th line center. An apparently I am undervaluing him because of this.

Have you NOT been watching Larsson's play all season? Especially at the end of the season? No, really, I'd like to know.

If we lose the lottery then we get Eichel plain and simple. Nobody for any price is trading McDavid. An that means Reinhart will be on this team.

No place?

1C 80% Eichel
2 and 3 C in any order Reinhart and Girgensons....everything else is worked around that

I dont underestimate him, I just see that there are way better pieces coming then he is and unless your going to say he is a better, more talented center then Eichel, Reinhart, or Girgensons, then there is nowhere else to put him.
- Orphen22

Not arguing. I just think if he gets a full year with top 6 line mates he makes the team much better. Smart player and better hands than many think.

Reinhart is a big question mark and who knows if Eichel centers the top line in his 1st year. I'd think they HAVE to put him there but that's a long ways away.

Really? Cause I have watched him take draws in between Moulson and Ennis several times over the last couple games.

Not often at all, he was #1 center between Ennis and Moulson

Yes I have. And he has looked great! But his ceiling is far lower then the players I have mentioned as well as others I have not. He also has been playing with Ennis and nothing for nothing but Ennis has shown he can make others look pretty good.
He is best suited as a 3rd line center, but seeing as how Girgensons is here why make him winger when we could have a very solid 4 center combo rolling out.

I think he could too, and he would probably be pretty good at it too with how aggressive he is in the corners. But I would rather see 4 very talented centers down the middle rather then 3 and a plug.

If Girgensons can play wing I'm all for giving him top 6 minutes and having Larsson as C3. Just saying

Remeberw, we can always trade for a sign a 4C, aka Ott......not saying him, saying somebody like him.

Yup. If grigorenko makes this team it'll most likely be at wing. Totally agree we are building around our centers

I'm not to crazy about having lindback here next year. He has played great here and if we sign him I hope he does well. I just don't think he will be as good when his shots are limited. When goalies get lots of shots, some of them play much better. Lindback seems to be one of those guys. On a good team I don't think he is the right goalie.

I could see this too! I just think I prefer Girgensons on the dot. If we go out and trade for a RW (as is being rumored) then that pushes him down to 3rd line winger though. In that case youd have a line of Foligno - Larsson - Girgensons which is pretty good though. Plus if Larrson/Girgensons gets thrown out of the faceoff you could have the other step in. I actually kind of like that.

If the scenario to my other reply to you goes down then do we ave anyone else in Rochester to plug in to save the assets?
