I think we are all under the assumption that players will want to come here, but there is still a lot of work to be done to increase their interest.

I don't think its as bad as it used to be to get players to sign here but that being said the 2016 off season you will have players knocking down the door to play here IMO

We are still a rebuilding team but adding another top 6 forward at the draft might make players more interested

I mean he might see LA as a team thats only going to get worse lol. It is possible he would be willing to leave.
- Smittyx36

Sure, but Toffoli is a budding star. He'd be potentially shorting himself a lot of money signing a 5-6 year 5.5 mil deal here. He could sign a bridge, score 30 which based on his age and role should do or come close to next year, and in 2 years sign for 7 plus

can they even afford a bridge deal? lots of teams will be struggling with the cap. Hopefully we can take advantage of that
- Smittyx36

This is why I wasn't enamoured with giving up the 3rd first rounder this year in the Kane deal. It is a great asset that could have been used when negotiating with cap strapped teams.

Come Oct. I think the team will be set and we will just have to endure the growing pains. Most of the players have familiarized themselves with each other this past season.

I don't hate the Kane deal, just wish we could have figured out a way of not giving up the 3rd first.

Had to give to get I guess. But we should have the most 1st round talent on the team come October. Last I saw it was 10 players. Prolly wrong without going back and confirming .

Im still in awe, that it actually happened. Come on Murray, trade for Kessel, and sign Mike Green.

Yes, if he's going to be fired, which I think he will, I don't think Murray will keep him hanging.

God I hope so. He is an awful coach and with the tank complete he is no longer needed.

I can agree with that. I just think this offseason is still a tough sell.

I could see them losing in the first round again, seems to be what they do.

Nope... Green maybe, but I wouldn't overpay grossly. Maybe 4-5M. I don't want to overpay when trading for O'Rielly or Kessel. The offer sheets are the most promising.

I don't need to.
I read.

Look at the bright side -- us tankers got our prize, and you anti-tankers get your wish of winning hockey again. The fans are reunited at last.

Although, personally, I believe there are some great players at the top 3 of the draft next year too...

They aren't playing the Kings. They have a much better chance.
