you cant tell now, but in 3-4 years you can.

I guess i'll ask you about it then, when Grigs is lighting it up.

In a year or two it would be more like 60-65+ playing with any of Mac, Landy or Duchenne.
- Herzeleid

so youre the guy that id he ends up being a dud its because he never had a chance. Like GM's dont want their players to be succeed or other GM's dont see potential in him.

Hardhat just starts sh!t with everyone about anything. I like to think of myself as more of an SBroads lite, but with Grigs (and sometimes Foligno) instead of Myers.
- Herzeleid

I'd say thats a fair assesment.

You do know how much he has been fvucked over since getting here right? The only time he's had a sniff of a chance has been recently, and he's been playing much better but you can still only get so many points when not playing with other offensive guys.

Please tell me which players said he wasn't good.

Could Grigs put up points sure but who are you going to sit on the PP in order for him to do that? With the young centres we have coming in, it appears Grigs is a goner. Nothing wrong with that, just hope someone else sees something in him and gives us something back for him.

I don't remember calling anyone names, I'm not a hardhat. I love arguing, especially with such juicy notions that Grigs isn't a good player. This is like Myers all over again.

Players on this team? Are these guys in the organization like the guys who didn't have him in the first round (I would pay to see somebody try and show me 30 better players than Grigs from the 2012 draft class)?

- Herzeleid

For the sake of discussion, this is all I could come up with... #is draft position

1. Edmonton, Nail Yakupov, RW, Sarnia (OHL)
2 Ryan Murray (D)
3 Montreal, Alex Galchenyuk, C, Sarnia (OHL)
5. Toronto, Morgan Rielly, D, Moose Jaw (WHL)
6. Hampus Lindholm (D)
9. Jacob Trouba (D)
11. Filip Forsberg Washington
4 Zemgus Girgensons (C)
15 Cody Ceci (D) **********arguable just as good************
17 Tomas Hertl (C)
18 Teuvo Teravainen (RW)
22 Olli Maatta (D)
29 Stefan Matteau (C) **********arguable just as good************

With McEichel and Reinahrt our future 1 2 centers. Where do you see Grigorenko fitting in on this team? 3rd line center? or is he moved to the wing?

Girgensons is the perfect 3rd line checking center who can help offensively. Grigs doesnt fit!

It's generally not on purpose, but F ups happen with the best of intentions. Darcy really mishandled the situation by keeping him up that first year...

I'm perfectly happy with him being a winger on lines 1 or 2, I actually don't want him anywhere near the third line. If Ennis can move to wing, Grigs most likely can too.

Welp...all that's left to do is to hope they win the lottery...or hope that Jack Eichel isn't hockey's Ryan Leaf.

By winning McEichel he just became part of someone else's plans. He could score 60+ points one day but I hightly doubt its in Buffalo.

Put him on that wing! He's a big body who can control the puck on the boards, and take up space in the D zone with an active stick, let Girgs and Foligno take most of the D responsibility.

Let Grigo get the puck to the net for those 2 fellas to get some dirty goals. Need some skill on your 3rd line if you are going to win championships...

I'd play him over any of our wingers (not named Ennis, or Kane) on next years PP...

McEichel
Reinhart
Girgensons

Seems likely as the top 3 C's of the future, but arguing that Grigs doesn't fit is like saying Ennis/Larsson/anyother player that plays center doesn't fit. Unless he is moved to the wing and completely fails, he most certainly fits in with this team.

Kane, Ennis, Moulson will occupy the top six winger spots for a while. That leaves one spot open. Hodge could still take that spot or another winger propect like Baptitste in a couple years could. Grigorenko has never played winger I don;t know how well that woudl work out either.

Ryan Leaf also lost the national championship game.

Plus, if any one of those guys goes down you get to move him back to C and still have a capable player taking draws..

EDIT: Holy crap has Girgensons taken a poopload of draws... @ 1,000.... and only 2/3 of a season... Next most is Mitchell with 660 and then no one over 400

I fully expect someone from outside the organization to be the other winger next year in the top 6.

You wont change my mind and I wont change yours. Im done with this.

I'm excited about the Bills and Sabres going forward more than I have been in a long time, and Grigs has 1 fraction of 1% to do with that.
