Isnt he up for contract this year? No way he would take a 2-way and we would lose him to waivers if we tried to send him down. If thats the case, we have to trade him this summer or sign him knowing he has to fit in on the sabres roster somehere.
- seedy

I don't think he's deal is up is it? Not enough games of NHL service? I could be wrong there.

Three things.

1. If the organization was as high on him as some of you, he would have been here all year to see what the kid can do. He wasn't, and its not because he is too good and would ruin the tank.

2. If they want to keep him, yes it would probably take a one way deal....that's fine because uncle Terry will pay him NHL money in the AHL just to keep him around. Then again he will only be 21, even if his entry level deal is up he still isnt an UFA at age 21, all they have to do is give him a 10% raise I believe.

3. I think they do try and trade him.

Normally I agree with a lot of what you say but not this.

Larsson had more points in the AHL too this year. You're acting like he's been great these last few weeks. He's been ok. Ive wanted Sabres to lose in a bad way and Larsson also made me mad (becauseh he's good) Grigs was an after thought.

Taking their career AHL numbers in account Larrson .746 ppg Girgorenko .755 ppg

They both produced in the American League. I think they both can produce in the NHL. Grigorenko just has more talent IMO.

They burned a year of his ELC with the stupid lockout year so this is his last year of his ELC. He will get tendered and potentially traded like you said, I can see it happening. But if he is a Sabre at the start of training camp he would have to clear waivers to go to Rochester.

For his career maybe. I dont see what he's shown to garner all this excrement. Look, I hope I'm wrong, I have nothing against the kid but H'e not a winger and he isnt a top 3 center in this organization, thus nowhere for him to play.
- Homer

exactly. also loses points for having to clear waivers next season.

I can not wait for him to get canned Monday. He just sounds like sour grapes anymore. "My anti tank plans fell through so now I have to whine about how this does not interest me waaaahh." I am sick of him man, can not wait to hear he was let go.

What part of having a highly skilled, highly offensive player who was supposed to go top 3 but was passed for bull sh!t motivation rumors, playing on the wing of another highly skilled 2nd overall pick, doesn't fit the plans?
- Herzeleid

Top 3?? My good friend scouts for the Kings, a pretty solid organization mind you> and they didn't even have a first round grade on him. Thought he'd be exactly what he is, a supposedly skilled player who doesn't play with any passion. AKA a Russian. (yes, I know that doesnt apply to all Russians).

Where has he shown all this skill? Canadian JR where he played with other kids?

He doesnt skate well, is afraid to hang on to puck and, is a defensive liability. Has zero leadership skills. Can't play wing, that requires going in the corner where this is contact.

He wont be here.

He's Russian? He has skill, which means he has a place here.

If he is traded, I'll trust Murray even less than I already do

No, it was because he could FINALLY go to Rochester to work on his game a bit. Also he was with Armia and we didn't want them to be caught up in the tank. Him and Armia in Roch was what 90% of us wanted.

By that logic, Mark Pysyk isn't very promising either

Excuse me while I go laugh for a solid 60min. The notion that he shouldn't have been in the first round is laughable.

Other than maybe leadership, you realize that none of that is true, right?

No, he would have been here if Zads didn't force us to keep him. He also would have hurt the tank.

Such an Amazing Weekend with "Party in the Plaza" tonight, and 65 Sunny Tomorrow, I figured I would pat myself on the back for getting something right finally!! lol... After the Friday-Saturday RollerCoaster with the Miraculous Teows goals and the Yotes win against the Sharks, I looked over the remaining schedules and targeted when I thought the Clinch would occur. Here it is:

But he was in Rochester and not here, that must mean Pysyk isn't very good.

I'm being sarcastic.

Grigorenko will be fine.

Sucks that Sterling closed though. That place had some great burgers!

I live in the Elmwood village, so I bounce between Dt, Allen, Elmwood & Hertel all the time. So much good food, and great places to get a cocktail & nice craft beer

I know he will but some people still don't like him for some reason, and obviously some people haven't watched the Sabres for a while (can't blame them though).

This started with Grigs vs Larsson, and Grigs >>>>>>>>>>> Larsson with no debate, both now and for sure in the future.

Knocking out Pitt to give Boston a chance really doesnt do much for me either. I hate Boston more. That being said, I do want the Sabres to win tonight just because rooting against them sucked.
