I think believing the Sabres are going to win Friday is fatalistic Buffalo sports fan nonsense. The Jackets are 13-1-1 in their last 15. 8 of those wins were against teams currently in the playoffs. The Sabres have only won 9 games on the road all season long.

CBJ due for one of those losses, especially if the wrong goalie starts.

Bobrovsky is going to play. It's their last home game and fan appreciation night. They are going with their stars. Even if he doesn't the dud known as Anton Forsberg is not on their roster.

If we were closer to the playoffs maybe. In 2 years he might be done though

Fair enough
I don't really like the sign Tofolli & Jones to RFA deals
Tofolli will absolutely get matched, and I'm def not giving Jones the 3.5m per year that was suggested.
He looks good, but so does every LA goalie.
I don't hate him, but I haven't seen enough to think he is a "franchise" goalie
There's others out there I'd much prefer

I really believe that CBJ is going to destroy us on Friday night, something like 4-1.

Honestly, your negative posts about the Sabres winning are old. (frank) off. The Sabres are going to lose in regulation

I don't get it.

They make the move to bring all the young guys on the mlb roster in a win now season on the logic that they're their best bet...and yet they choose to put a guy coming off a down year in the 8th inning role.

For all the questionable moves AA has made i'd say the managerial choice is the biggest head scratcher and could ultimately be what gets him canned.

bullpen didn't have to be the question mark, at least tonight anyways. Osuna could've gotten out of that with 1 run against, Jays probably go on to win it.

Like I said, even Papelbon (especially at his price tag) can't help this team if the manager is insistent on sticking with the old guard.

Ya, but he's better than Gionta.
Leaders like that aren't often available, and with all these young guys I do feel like vet leadership is important. And not just Vets that play hard like Weber & are true pros like Georges, but vets that are also WINNERS...

So if not the Captain of 2 of the last 3 Stanley Cup Champs, then who?
It's been a long time since Gionta has won anything...

Someone from Chicago then, Sharp possibly? But he's on the downswing as well.

Any ideas?

My opinion would be to not buy in to a "has been" leader, but look for a budding one. And we already have one of them in Girgensons.
