When I asked Grigo if forward Johan Larsson had shown the way a bit via the struggles he'd faced before finding his game, Grigorenko mentioned that looking at his play gives one more confidence "because we both were in Rochester together and we've both been up and down all the time.

"When [Larsson] finally found [his] game and his scoring touch it was really nice to see. I'm just trying to learn some [things] from him. I can see that he's playing with a lot more confidence. If I get that confidence it will be much easier too."

Man I am developing a real soft spot in my heart for this kid.

"In fact it's words like that and actions like the Arizona game that make me want to cheer for a 29th place finish just so those fans caught up in their petty little world will have it collapse leaving them to face their true being."

I don't agree w the spitting in face sentiment but what "pretty little world is he referring to?"
Among others...
3 feet
no goal
29th place?

Last time I checked, calendar says spring and we're in the 30's.
We're in one of the best fan bases/sports markets and have exactly 0 championships to speak of...ever

Kris Baker is a moron if he doesn't understand the sentiment. Cheer for 29th??? "True being"
what a d!ckf@ce

my bad...

kris baker wasn't responsible for the entire quote...that was on me...it was my mistake bringing a professional like him into an emotional situation like this...

my apologies to y'all and to him...

No it wont. If we finish in 29th things will be bad.... very very bad. many pro tank fans will forever call out the anti tankers if McEichel become the superstars they are expected to be.

We have to finish last if we want this hostile environment to settle down. My opinion on the situation

If we don't, the attitude around the Sabres organization will be very hostile for a long time. It could become extremely toxic.

unless the 3rd pick turns out to be better than Eichel. McDavid is a crap shoot.

But still it will be very hostile for the first couple years

To say it's been a strange season would be like saying Sidney Crosby is a pretty good hockey player.

Haha, awesome.

Columbus is one of my favorite teams. I have no trouble rooting for them on Friday. B )

This place is either suicidal or a morgue.

Season cant end fast enough. I predict a crown drowning if we do not finish in last place.

So if Cryin' Ryan Miller is healthy for game 1, do the Canucks start a rested Miller or a hot Lack?

I say they should and will stick with Lack and Miller will sit at the dinner table with Noureen and not say a single word. Not that she ever hears him talk anyway.

am of the belief, and have been of the belief, that the organization is on the same page...

interesting note: last year the 29th place team (FLA) finished with 66 points...the season prior, the 29th place team (COL) finished on a pace for 66 points

In 2011-12, the last place Columbus Blue Jackets finished with 65 points while 29th place Edmonton had 74...

This season, buffalo has 52 right now, Arizona 54 and Edmonton 61 all with two games remaining

I don't know why people are stressing about this. We have absolutely no control over the outcome of it at all. I don't know about you, but I don't stress over things I can't change in any way. It doesn't do me any good, so why bother?

Another excellent blog. During this most trying of seasons, you appear to have ice water in your veins. Never too high, never too low. You strike the right tonality and chord. I don't know what you do for a real job. You must be a politician....
