So OTT got a pt today. 95 vs 93 in pts with 6 pts remaining. With the way DET is playing it might not matter Tuesday.

Detroit plays Carolina twice & the Habs. You would think that they get 2 wins.

It's a must win V Sens for us no matter what or at least a point. I can't see us beating the Isles & depending on whether the Sabres need to tank they will not be push overs.

The Sens will beat Flyers & hopefully duck egg V Rags so a lot riding the game Wednesday (my time).

Everything is still in our hands so if we are good enough we get there. If we aren't we don't deserve to play playoffs. The fact we can't beat Metro teams really tells the story & it's arguable that we don't deserve to clinch due to that fact alone.

As I love to say, "time will tell".

Just another one of those moves, which I can no understand from the coaching staff....

Just like demoting Iginla from the PP and not trying him with Sid/Kunitz when the first line was clearly not clicking as they usually did.

Interesting reading the match report on NHL website. The Flyers were saying the Pens were 'chirping' about playing playoffs.

If I'm HCMJ I get those guys in the room & kick their arses soooo hard that they can only stand up until they actually qualify for the playoffs!

It's just the perfect example of what may be the problem in the team. They 'think' they are in but in fact may miss. Did someone say 'complacency'?

Or stupidity, either way you look what ever the word it probably ends in 'Y'.

Really? I'd bench a couple just to make sure they get their heads straight. Not good to hear that but again we are talking about the Flyers. Hard to believe anyone from that franchise/fanbase

Ryan White was quoted in the match report as saying, "a few guys last week saying that they're going to the playoffs, chirping after the game".

I can believe that. Let's hope those 'few guys' pull their fingers out & help the team to the playoffs!

Go Pens!

They'll make it. However, if they draw the Rags in the first round, it will be rough going.

I looked at it as a demotion. Perron was pretty terrible again IMO. I can't believe he's the same player we saw when he first arrived. He's brutal in all 3 zones lately.

I still cant believe we gave up a 1st + Klink for Perron. Didn't love it then. Really don't love it now.

One thing that really surprised me the past week was how physical Hornqvist was. I never thought he was soft, but that kid can lay some hurt on people.

He's only 5'11" but is a pain in the ass in front of the net. He's like a young Holmstrom. Doesn't have great hands though...better than Perron with only hands and no will to get better/dirty.

Well the Leafs gave us a point today, a very valuable point at this stage. I like your confidence but unfortunately a team that is expected to make the playoffs & are obviously reading the odds - 99.5%? Or something ridiculous like that, are a target for a team that has nothing to lose & can play. Not sure how solid their team is with injuries but the Pens are playing on 1 leg & may just be trying to keep a little in the tank for the playoffs?? we are about to see how fragile this team actually is.

That was a huge point the Sens left on the table last night...... Pens have a 3 game lead in ROW.... so a regulation win on Tuesday locks up a playoff spot.

If they play as hard as they did yesterday, I'm confident they can beat Ottawa.... Hammond isn't playing quite as well since his back injury a few games ago.

So win and you're in and most likely crossing into the atlantic for the first 2 rounds which might not be a bad thing.

Ok noted, it's done & the majority thought it was a good move with good reason in my opinion. Who else could we have got? No use in protesting now. I would like to get the Colonel back over the off season though. It appears the Oilers didn't like it either but they're coming around.

WRT first round opponents, who you most/least like to play of NYR/Mtl/TB? Granted, to play NYR (assuming they don't implode these last 4 games), you'd have to fall behind both Detroit and Boston, which sadly isn't impossible.

No chance...Oilers extended Klinkhammer for 2 years I believe, he's a fan favorite here as well.
