Re Comeau: Some of his production drop is likely due to luck, but I'm wondering is the lingering effects of his (wrist?) injury are hampering his shot. |

The underlying concern not mentioned in the blog about Bennett is the double knee braces are just the latest in a long string of ongoing health problems with the guy. I REALLY want to see the kid succeed, but at what point does the organization have to take a step back and decide if he is EVER going to be healthy enough to perform close to his talent ceiling? - Emperor Filonius
Or its just another excuse like Kunitz's iron deficiency. |

Kunitz at least has a proven track record of production to fall back on. He may indeed have hit the wall, but at least he has proven that he can contribute more than he has lately. |

I like Kunitz and his game, I love PH great deal by JR! I like Perron too, i just with he would hit the net. I like that style of hockey player. They are great complementary players to 87 and 71. Kunitz is an older version of PH and his time has probably come. I dont like the style of BB. Those players that only have skill get shut down in the playoffs, you need a bit of both. |

BB looks like a scarecrow out there. He says he's down 8 lbs...he should add 20!
Fair statement about Kunitz. They may need to eventually transition him to a lesser role next season. |

I'm really not sure the organization should try to plan the NHL roster around BB at all. He's much too mercurial and this season it hasn't just been his health that's kept him out of the lineup. He should be in the AHL learning how to create odd man situations with the puck, not trying to cope with Sutter or Lapierre. |

I look at Sutter, BB, Adams, Spaling, Lap, even Winnik hasn't done much as just a huge black hole on the bottom 6. Im hoping some of those guys step it up in the playoffs, but I just dont see it happening unfortunately. |

Have you watched a Penguins game since the deadline? That's an insanely obtuse statement. Winnik has been producing solidly and dominant in possession.

Kunitz and PH aren't really anything alike. Fans and journalists confuse the 'net front' role on the PP as being Kunitz's spot. Kunitz is more like a 'net side presence'. PH is Holmstrom. The nice thing about PH is that as he ages, he'll still be right in front of the goalie. I'm not trying to diminish Kunitz here, it's just that it's pretty misleading to classify Kunitz as a guy who works the screen. |

He's been very disappointing and I'm a big Bennett guy. I'd hold on to him personally just because his value is so low. I also wouldn't hand him a top 6 dream job next to 2 of the best centers in the world. He has done nothing to earn a top 6 spot and deserves to be in the bottom 6. You can't just hand poop to people they have to earn it. If it starts in the bottom 6 then that's where it starts. - dbell646
I am agree with this post 100%. I was a big BB proponent, but aside from those 10 or so games he went on a tear, he hasn't really show much. I know he is misused, and that he just barely has one full season under his belt, but I just don't see the drive from him.
I want to see him for one more year where he can hopefully be injury free and really have a chance to show what he's got.

Getting ready for a cluster(frank) of a hockey game tonight. Nothing to lose or gain for the Flyers, pretty sure we can expect some douchebaggery from both sides tonight.
Would expect the usual to Sid and Geno, maybe a little extra on Martin since if he gets hurt the Pens are royally screwed. |

Shooting is just luck - doesn't matter if your wrist is hurt, it's obviously just his luck evening out.
It's science.

I feel like this is a huge game for us. I know we are decimated by injuries and what not, but we need to learn how to play these teams that get under our skin and generally beat us. *cough cough islanders

LOL yea, pretty much.
Nice to see Buff give Miller the Staal on Crosby neck massage last night.
Miller is lucky he's not in the hospital.
No penalty
Gotta love the "Let them play" 2014/15 NHL |

Hey, so I know the Flyers are out of the playoffs, but can we not have a Penguin run our goalie to inflict a late season injury this time around? |
