I just watched the first couple of shifts and three things, all positive, really jumped out at me.

The kid has great wheels
He makes a really nice, accurate first pass out of the zone.
He has a physical edge to his game as well.

Ok.

This is how I feel.

It's easy. Think of it as rooting for a better pick and therefore, in all likelihood, a better player for the Flyers to draft. You're still cheering for the team, just not this sucky one but rather a good one built on youth and homegrown talent in the near future.

Yeah, as much as I hate the Pens, they are in the playoffs no matter what so who cares. I'd be perfectly happy to finish the season going 0-6-0

Yup. It's an easy formula: winning makes no difference whereas losing could mean a better pick. To me it's a no-brainer which option to get behind, but to each their own.

Any other game I really wouldn't care if they lose. I ALWAYS want the flyers to put a beat down on the pens. Regardless of the standings, the time of year, who's on the team, etc.
