Of all the kids, Morin probably has the biggest variance in potential outcomes. \
He could be that late-blooming stud that all GMs dream about, to an early Bryan Allen, to a 3rd-pair disappointment like Luke, to a replacement-level journeyman like Keaton Ellerby, all the way down to a guy like Teubert who's currently pounding guys in the German league.
I'm not sure any of these outcomes are any more unlikely than the others at this point. - Tomahawk
He's hard to gauge for sure. I'd be real happy with nasty Coburn.
Hagg, too, but his variance is more due to questions of intensity and willingness to use his skills and size. I think with Hagg, comfort and confidence will be big factors. |

I still feel pretty confident that Hagg will be an NHL player. Not a point-producing guy... maybe more along the lines of a Hank Tallinder after he matures a bit.

Yeah, I don;t know if he'll ever skate like Coburn, but Morin likes to hurt people. Coburn could get physical, but it was always, sort of like, "Well, if you're going to get rough about it..."
Morin is the kid of guy that will start the roughness and nastiness. He's got a huge mean streak, and with his size, that can be scary.
The hands/puck skills is where he's lagging behind a guy like Myers. - Jsaquella
i agree with all of this. definitely an interesting guy to have in the cupboard. |

especially a nasty coburn who doesnt have to be the team ace on defense, and can focus on doing the things hes good at. |

Agreed. He's got a chance to be one of those Talinder/Ragnarsson types that are solid, and steady but unspectacular. |

See above.
I'm hoping that Hagg's struggles came more from being in N america than anything else |

And DeBrusk just got killed, so maybe scratch him as the pick in the 20's
And Drew Miller got a nasty skate cut on his face... |

That'd be his ceiling, I think. Hjalmarsson might be the most underrated dude in the NHL |

It's expected for Sanheim to put up points. I have to admit, I'm pretty impressed with Morin is bringing offensively, although I'm not expecting it to translate. Hoping but not expecting. - SuperSchennBros
Morins the pp QB on their first unit I believe. |

Best player in the NHL that no one knows about. |

Gutless! - PLindbergh31
given that i take at least one clapper in the mask every (frank)ing game, i have no problem with being called gutless.
i just got blasted in the jewels on sunday night. i wear a regular cup and double layered goalie cup on top, and it still (frank)ing hurt.
my thumb is still healing from friday's puck. at least 2 layers of skin pulled off, stiff, tender, can barely bend it. i played 2 games sunday...at least 75% of the shots in warm ups hit my stick or my blocker - the pain. made several more during the games.
it's not for the faint of heart. even with the pads. |
