ESPN.com offered its list of all-time greatest streaks and had Joe DiMaggio's 56-game hitting streak in 1941 as their top mark and -- holy jumpin'! -- Red Wings and Blackhawks goalie Glenn Hall's 502 consecutive games played from 1955 to 1962 as number 2.

Well, kudos to them for even mentioning Hall, much less ranking his achievement so high. It's truly hard, if not impossible, to compare these achievements. But just for fun, let's put Hall's streak in its proper context: First, as Tom Adrahtas points out in his excellent 2003 biography of Hall, when you add his minor league, All-Star and playoff games beginning in 1951, he played a staggering, mind-boggling total of 881 straight until 1962.

That is straight up insane. I'm surprised I hadn't heard that before.

In today's NHL how many do you figure a goaltender could start in a row without wearing a mask?

Sanheim scores!

It's expected for Sanheim to put up points. I have to admit, I'm pretty impressed with Morin is bringing offensively, although I'm not expecting it to translate. Hoping but not expecting.

Anything less than a Weber/Suter type pairing, would be a huge disappointment.

I was just asking the other day if either could play the right side but someone thought it would be clever to jump around answering the question.

Morin has improved a good deal since he was drafted. He's still got work to do and I really hope they do not rush him. Physically he could play in NHL now. But he's still susceptible to getting beat wide and getting crossed up when forced to go east-west. If that's going on in the Q...

Sanheim has such a natural feel for the game, and seems remarkably calm. When he does make a mistake, he recovers well in general and is just so smooth looking.

Steve Ott or Rinaldo would deliberately shoot at his head and kill him

I've only seen Morin play left, I think Sanheim can handle the right side if needed.

With Morin it's struggling to cross his hips over to block the guy against the half wall in games I've watched.

Sanheim has done well, one thing he does need to work on is knowing when & when not to jump in down low.

Both correctable.

I don't think Rinaldo could be that accurate. I'm kind of disappointed he hasn't done anything monumentally stupid the last few weeks. I was thinking one more transgression and he would be gonzo.

i dont know why, but i really think sanheim is going to be better than ghost. not only overall, but even only taking offense into consideration. i think he will be the PP guy who makes it go.

Yeah, exactly, going East-West is still a chore for Morin.

Sanheim does get a bit too aggressive, no argument there. He does have the skating ability to recover, though.

Rinaldo would hit him with his stick

He's been really good of late. Had a couple moments of dumb right after suspension, but has not had anything obviously dumb in past couple weeks

Agreed with Sanheim it's not that often he gets caught but yes he does very well to get back into a solid position.

It's going to be an interesting couple of years. We can only hope that they'll turn out to be anything remotely close to a Suter/Weber or Keith/Seabrook pair.

I have zero doubt that Sanheim will be better than Ghost. Not a knock on Ghost, but Sanheim has a complete game. Ghost could be a dynamic, high scoring guy that dazzles with the puck and has speed to burn, but the defensive game needs work. Sanheim needs work, too, but he's already a good two way guy.

I think Sanheim is their best prospect, maybe by a good margin.
