Tough to pass on McDavid though.
He's putting up #s in the OHL tht are FAR superior to what Hall, Stamkos & Tavares were.
That alone shows his potential.

While both guys should end up being very good, McDavid seems to have the higher ceiling to me

Our last home win was last month vs Nucks (Reg.win)

In 2 years we will need that goalie. whether he is already here or not. The prospects we have now should be having a tag as great or bust. Just my thoughts.

Fasching & Compher prob spend another year in the NCAA
Next year will be the 1st for Baptiste & Bailey in the AHL.

Sure, we don't necessarily "need" our franchise goalie for next year. But if Murray can make the deal now for Allen or Vasilevskiy or whoever, why not?
