23 of his points have come on the PP, which don't impact +/-.

And the Habs have trouble scoring on the powerplay.

Habs should trade for Stamkos.

Remember when Gainey tried to trade Subban and Price for Lecavalier

Remember when Gainey tried to trade Plekanec for Kovalev, and Sather instead chose Jozef Balej?

Well, DD is a better fit for Patches and you can't move Plek down to the 3rd line.

I'd have to say if you want Galchenyuk in the top six, it's on the wing.

- pete26

Galchenyuk scored a hat-trick his first game this year centering pacioretty.

Also he posted 0.7 ppg pace while centering that line.

At least can the coach shake-up his powerplay lines? The ones he keeps using aren't working: http://www.cs.unb.ca/~mwf/habs/pp.html

If Nashville loses out in the quarter finals then the Leafs get a good shot at Jeremy

Great leader, hits, fights, decent hands, a real genuine person off the ice.

Any team would kill to have a guy like that.

I mean Doan..

- pete26

Letang is better. He is ppg defenseman. He even had 38 points in 35 games. Last year, he was in top 10 in goals in defensemen while playing less than half a season. He hits too and fights too. Doan can't even get ppg as a forward while Letang can as a defense.

It's unfair though to compare a guy who is washed up to Letang who's in his prime. Doan in his good years vs Letang now would be a tough choice.

We won't make mention that Letang plays on a team with Crosby and Malkin, who currently sit 1st and 8th in overall league scoring, and that Doan plays on a really, really poopty team who may finish 29th overall.

Bergevin needs to trade him this Summer. The leafs/Oilers/Sabres would all pay a hefty price for him.

Yeah, did not follow him that much this year but it seems everytime I heard of him he gave up 5-6 goals and was pulled out.

Don't overestimate the masterminds in the NHL. There will be teams that will look at his achievements (Gold medal at the WJC, great success in 'Q playoffs, Memorial Cup) first. Players like Fucale will always get more chances than most because of their notoriety.

I can't quote the exact numbers over the limited time.

But he did assist all three of Galchenyuk's goals.

Eller's was with a second after the penalty expired.

Yes Galchenyuk scored on the PP. And the third was 4 on 3 OT. Those are almost always a goal.

Mind you give credit where it is due. Desharnais put one on a platter for Pacioretty.

I'm sure Justin Pogge takes great solace in this.

It was about a ppg if I recall. Something like 1 goal, 6 assists.

Do you watch hockey? Letang was still really good when Crosby and Malkin were injured at the same time.

Fact is, your salary cap will likely be lower if you win games 2-1 instead of 4-2. So it is all by design
