Because if Tinordi is not going to crack the Habs roster, why keep him around if you can get something you need via trade. How long do you hold onto him and hope he develops?
- cburgess

How old is Tinordi?
Pateryn cracked the line up just a few weeks ago. He's 25.
There you go.

Defensemen take a while to develop, but the issue with Tinordi is that he seems to regress every time he is brought up to the big club.

He needs to improve his skating a bunch of he wants to be regular in the NHL. If he's not going to fit into the Habs top 6, they should trade and get something for him. No point of him just playing in the minors for the Bulldogs his whole career hoping he will be good enough someday. That's all I'm saying.

last time he was called up, he was playing injured and didn't tell the organization.

Maybe that's part of it

he has little trade value. you're getting a 4th round pick or someone else's failed 2009-2011 first rounder. i think they will keep him around through training camp next year and then if he's not going to break camp with the team they will deal him, because he'd never pass through waivers.

I disagree, I think alot of teams would be interested in a 6"5 former first round pick who's only 23 years old. He has trade value, of this I have no doubt.

But I don't see any reason why the Habs would give him away considering how badly they need someone like him to succeed on their blueline.
