McKenna has pinned Desharnais and Therrien as the problems holding the Canadiens back

Also Eller would have DD's numbers if he had his spot.

1) In this line of work, repetition is king. It's the buy-in to a system. It's the backbone of a team owning its identity.

Repetition is also a reporter's best friend.

my God engels. i haven't laughed this hard in a long time. i will agree with you though. your blogs are repetitive.

this team has no identity. it has a superstar goalie who has to let in 2 goals or less for his team to have a chance. in my opinion, this coach has completely (frank)ed up any offensive instincts his team has. it is beyond a joke.

i have to assume that Therrien has the adjustments for Tampa, knows what adjustments need to be made to compete with them, but didn't want to tip his hand before the playoffs because this game was ultimately meaningless. there's no other explanation for the way they played last night. they didn't lay an egg or play poorly. they just got wrecked.

According to Howard, he's for real.

Not sure what to make of this.

What happened to Hedman?

Already missing Garrison, Braydon Coburn and Andrej Sustr, the Lightning lost their No. 1 defenseman, Victor Hedman, on his first shift of the third period, just after the Canadiens had scored to cut Tampa Bay's lead to 3-2.

Bishop got injured and the Lightning started an old blind man in net.

one thing though... i don't recall Montreal playing so passively last year in the playoffs against them. the possession stats were pretty even throughout the 4 games or maybe even a slight edge to Montreal. they were more aggressive through those 4 games.

i don't think so. they had good efforts against Nashville, Winnipeg and Florida. and i didn't see effort as an issue last night.

Tampa is as fast as them and more talented up front, they don't seem interested to skate that much harder to give themselves a chance.
