Perhaps. I personally think they have Price and the D to go for it and that it would be worth sacrificing a couple up and comers for some offence. Don't know that MB necessarily feels the same way.
- kev1586

And that's the rub. Maybe one of the up and comers will fill that void?

haha, isn't this only year 2 of his rebuild? I think he wants a team that contends every year for a decade plus like Detroit... he may get that, but it may also be a long road to nowhere.

I think its better to have Montreal on the PP, go 4 on 5 and coast to victory since they cant score on the PP to save their life.

It's all about perspective I think. I don't see much NHL offence from the guys coming up. Some of the recent picks I still have hope for(Scherbak, McCarron), but those aren't guys that aren't there next year. So do you wait, or do you go for it... I don't pretend like I have the answer. But would be frustrating for it to be a road to nowhere. Then again, Blue Jays went for it and it was a road to nowhere too.

And I really liked Andrighetto after seeing him play quite a few times in Rouyn...

Hard to translate when they are in the bottom 10% for size in the league. Small guys need to ramp up their play 100% of the time. St Louis is a prime example of doing what needs to be done; just very few like him.

I think Ghetto or Hudon could be 20 goal scorers on a line featuring some size to give them room, but at that point there may be better options in Scherback and McCarron. Fingers crossed.

And that's what I mean. Are there really any takers for guys like Hudon and Andrighetto? Package up Tinordi if need be and let's get a short-term solution until it's really time to give Scherbak and McCarron serious looks.
