If that counts it is a horrible goal by Mason. |

the puck blew at the same time as it rolled in. what about the "intention to blow"? that's all you need? why is this reviewable? JFC. what the (frank)ing hell is a goal in this league anymore?

I won't be upset if they lose this game as long as jake gets 5 points. |

I've had similar goals go in. It's tough when it comes in on you after hitting as stick like that. Bad goal but happens. Not sure why it counts. I guess cause the puck was never stopped or covered |

Well, with a makeshift defense, and Simmonds out, the focus has to be adjusted slightly
I want them to win, but I understand what it is now |

This season has already been flushed. Andy Dufresne has been crawling through it for weeks.

Berube chuckling to himself because he gets to rip Mason again during the post game presser.

Well this seems like a quality two teams eliminated game..
1. Bad failed clear by Voracek leads to first goal
2. Raffl gets credit for a goal I am pretty sure he never touched
3. Bad goal let in by Mason
Ugh, need the offseason asap. |

Training camp in my mind is going to be really interesting. If the Flyers can just trim the fat by moving the most obvious guys and keep the UFA signing to a minimum (Don't sign the janitor's sign to a tryout or minor league deal), I think the Flyers could have a serious open tryout for the youngsters with the Phantoms come September. I'm not saying don't sign anyone because I still really like a guy like Chris Stewart who can score, add to the team toughness and is familiar with some of the guys in the dressing room but there is a question of who's ready in the minors right now. Nick Cousins looks better then Scott Laughton right now. Brandon Manning looks like he's ready to hang on to a job. With Mason's injuries, would it be smart to bring back Emery, Zepp or someone else as insurance as Anthony Stolarz develops. It might not be a bad idea to have someone compete with Zepp for that back up spot, even if it is Emery or someone new. |

I have to admit that Michael Raffl is the obvious choice to continue playing with Giroux and Voracek but my concerns are this. What happens if one of Giroux or Voracek go down to injury. I like Raffl's defensive game and his ability to barry rebounds or wait for his tap in chances. My issue is his lack of what he can do without playing on the top line. His assists are down and I think it's clear as to why. He's not a very good scorer without Voracek and Giroux. I'd really like to bring in a stud on the left side who can play with and without G and Jake. |
