Right now it's hard to get a real read. They're such a mess transitionally at times and the mix up front really needs some tweaking. But it is definitely disappointing that Schenn and Couturier have pretty much been stagnant.

Lauridsen got a 10 minute misconduct, so that held down his ice time a bit. Alt was making his NHL debut under emergency conditions against a team with a lot of dangerous forwards.

Alt is a prospect for the spot at some point but is not ready to compete for that now. Lauridsen is a non-prospect who is unlikely to be retained after this season. And Manning played 25 minutes .
