That last sequence pretty much sums up Couturier in this lost season. - opeth_pa
Or the majority of plays since that hot streak against Pittsburgh in the playoffs. |

Maybe a little controversial but meh.
Couturier and bSchenn have never really stood out to me as above average offensive boys. A flash here and there, but every player has that.
I'd hope the organization isn't expecting these boys to carry the secondary scoring into the future. They aren't useless, Couturier especially, but to provide goals or more importantly offensive zone time I'd be hanging my hat elsewhere. - flyer_nutter
Thing is, we've seen better from read. I think cooter can contribute a bit more as well. No doubt losing hartnells points has hurt us and we need to get some skill in the forward corps other than jake and g.
Separate topic. No doubt they can everyone in San Jose this offseason. I wonder if mclellan ends up running our bench next year? |

I think he is the most offensive geared of Tippet, MacLean, DeBoer, and scarface. Don't want Bylsma.
Just for that he'd have my vote. From a pure entertainment point of view I am tired of this d-first snooze fest. |

I'd be ok with him or Babcock. Also, I really hope hexy drafts some offensive skill with the firsts. As you say. We have very little on the big club and in the a. |

I don't know if it was mentioned or not, but I didn't know Tye McGinn was claimed off waivers by Arizona. Hexy stole a 3rd from Wilson in a supposed deep draft. |

Both would be alright for me.
I am there with you in regards to drafting dynamic offensive talent. Nothing against Scott Laughton, but maybe its time to shift away from taking such guys for a while. Flyers have an abundance of 3rd/4th liners.
At the end though, I wouldn't be against taking a d-man with that top pick. |

Despite the interview with snider saying he wants them to win right away, I think hexy stays the path and we draft to build this.

The apathy has set in a bit too much to freak out over Snider's comments but if he honestly believes what he said its laughable.
That "win now, and at all cost" mentality is what got them into this mess. If he makes some kind of mandate to get into the playoffs at all cost, he continues to have mediocrity shoved up his ass.
This off-season will say a lot. I'd be pleased if very little changed and they just drafted quietly. Wait for the opportune moment. |
