it works if you grab 2 studs this off season in FA's

moulson needs to drop a line
gionta will be on the third line so larsson probably drops to the 4th line, not a bad thing

squeeze in a st louis or jagr and then.........

- homiedclown

Good luck with that... but hopefully it happens.

St. Louis ruined him.

Actually I think Miller has battled injuries for a good chunk of the season, and he is getting older.

*edit - and still has more wins this season than the Leafs/Sabres.

This team will still have trouble getting free agents (good ones) to come here. J5
Even with "McSavior"

but will they need them?...with the addition of this year's draft pick they should have 2/3 of a top line...if ennis can fill in at rw the line will be complete...Moulson is a top-six as is Girgensons, if need be...

that's five of the team's top-six in place for starters...

did I mention ryan oreilly?

If I had that much money I'd be filling tons of holes....

To be clear I don't mean my own holes.

Amen. Boo your team when they deserve it, but don't insult the players by cheering for the opposition.

BUFFALO – In Thursday’s 4-3 overtime loss to the Arizona Coyotes, Sabres defenseman Nikita Zadorov was benched, skating only nine minutes, 46 seconds.“Maybe 10 minutes too much,” Sabres coach Ted Nolan said this afternoon inside the First Niagara Center.

so if it ended up looking like:

moulson-eichel-kane
ennis-reinhart-o'reilly
foligno-girgensons-larsson
deslauriers-dont know-dont care

id be pretty happy. ristolainen takes another step, gorges and bogosian take up valuable minutes, and whoever is left from mccabe, pysyk, and zadorov take minutes away from weber- we should be much happier campers.

- rover16

Problem with this is there are zero RWs in this lineup.

hes picked up Myers bone head penalties. When he took the holding call was I think his third of the game already. He seems to want to grab too much

I'm not going to judge the quote on Zadorov's merits because I won't pretend to have watched and make a judgement...but (frank) you Nolan...the ENTIRE TEAM has TWENTY WINS in 74 games this season, yet he keeps poop-talking one of the very youngest guys on the roster.

On the other hand just like when I was playing college ball when they are riding your azz they show they care. Its when they dont say a word to you your uniform is in jeapordy. Shows he has promise and will be a spot in our future.

Then again Nolan prob wont be here longer than next season

I would understand that, but this team has seen what...probably 30 different players dress for games? Yet who has he publicly criticized other than Zadorov (I know he's mentioned Hodgson a few times as well)??

I don't have a problem with a coach talking about some players, but with a poop show like the Sabres have been under his premier coaching abilities...he needs to stop with the craziness of railing on this kid.

I think this may have something to do with why Zadorov is even here though. I think maybe he is trying to send a message to the kid that just because you stomped your feet and got your way, doesn't mean you deserve what you got.

I don't necessarily agree with it though.

Zadorov has deserved what he's gotten...the rest of the quote has Nolan saying that when the kid put in the work he made progress, but when he doesn't his play falls off...

his play of late has him looking as if the was a part of darcy's core
