If Stammer were a Sabre you would be saying the opposite.

If he's not top 3, he's without a doubt top 5. He's the best or 2nd best goal scorer of this generation

If Stamkos were a Sabre. Sounds like a folk song.

But, honestly, even if he was on the Sabres, I wouldn't consider him top-3. He is clearly top-10 and arguably top-5, I agree. But I'd still hate on Crosby if he were a Sabre.

Let's be honest. We're Sabres (Buffalo) fans. Gretzky could have been a Sabre and we'd still female dog about it. Its what we do.

Top 10 players. Tavares, P. Kane, Teows, Crisby, Ovechkin, Lundquivst, Doughty, S. Weber, Datsyuk, and then you're telling me I have to put Stamkos here because he's the SECOND best goal scorer of his generation? Perry, Getzlaf, Malkin, St. Louis, Quick, Varacek (EDIT: okay maybe not Voracek), Giroux, etc...

All of those players have done more than Stamkos, sorry.

But you're right, I'd love him, "if" he were a Sabre. Much like I loved Vanek when he was.

2nd pick is a more interesting question.

2c. The league has opened their arms to positive spin about teams ‘rebuilding’, especially as sellers after the trade deadline. Another way of phrasing this: “a team traded away all of their good players for future assets [and to ensure that they lost many games in the final month, landing a good draft pick]”. People want to blame a team like Buffalo for being the first in a while to go all in on a tank for 82-games, but we are really one or two degrees of separation away from what’s historically happened every year.

Boom-shaka-laka.

But in all honesty not having a draft removes parity but I don't think its the right idea.
