"Wasn't Exactly Late" really

Dude has been a complete loose cannon lately asking for a suspension.

- MEBSabresFAN

He finished his check, maybe a split second too late but he didn't go out of his way, it wasn't a dirty hit (not low, not high, no elbow, no head contact) and he didn't blow through him. Doan has always played hard and he's a big dude who knows how to throw his weight around. I see nothing wrong with him finishing his check the way he did.

I did. You might be reaching a little. He's just an old player at the end of a long, hard, bad season. He made a bone-head mistake on the Gionta goal (everyone does at some point no matter how young/old), made sure to not make contact with Hackett on the OT winnning goal, and simply finished his check on Letang in the Pittsburgh game.

What's with Bogozian's giveaways? Yikes, and people complained about Myers.

OTT is probably the most inconsistent team in the league this year. They should easily be in the playoffs but struggle mightily.

He has more reasons for getting a McEchiel the most on that team, as unless he gets traded, it will be his only chance to get another playoff appearance, let alone a cup. I wouldn't say hes tanking, but he above all understands whats at stake.

Wouldn't mind seeing him get a ray Borque style move and win experience before he retires. I think he only has like 15 playoff appearances and hes 38

With toronto beating the sens today, we may not win another game (unless the yotes pull some more bs)

To think I was worried the sabres might get a point tonight. No Ennis = No offense.

if the goaltending is what it is tonight you are correct, especially if ennis is out (they look even worse without him) we do play some pretty soft teams in the end, but I think these guys are deflated and want the season to be over just as much as we do

I sure hope both slices of swiss cheese show up for monday's game in arizona, because as long as the yotes just shoot the puck, they'll score 4 for sure

Yet people want to trade him away. He dosent get enough credit for what he has done. I hope he is here for when we are good.

I think both he and Moulson will be putting up solid numbers by next year's end when McEichel and possible Reinhart is called up. They are both great facilitators of the game, not superstars, but they have good vision and hard working ethics which improve the others around them

He just needs a good center. The fact he's pushing near 20 goals on this pathetic team should show the potential numbers he could reach.

So, Eichel is what like, 18? So whoever drafts him what happens? Does he stay at BU for another 3 years and finish a degree or what? I doubt he'd play right away, seems like McDavid will but I doubt Eichel does. I dunno, he's in NCAA so how does it all work?

Devils advocate. The fact that he's one of only a few half decent forwards allows him the necessary playing time/O-zone time to put up those numbers. On a good team with players better than him he doesn't see those minutes which lead to the extra points. Of course he'd also be playing with better teammates.

Long story short part of me think his numbers will be about the same (maybe a little better) once this team is good. Which is not a dig at him, solid 2nd line forward with speed is a good thing to have.

I wish the Sabres had to start every game down 4 goals so I could root for Buffalo to play well and score some goals.
