College Hockey is boring as hell

Not that 3rd period. BU always shows up in the 3rd, and floats the 1st 2.

I wonder how it effects the O'connor sweepstakes. Our edge was giving him playing time as early as this year, may not matter if BU keeps winning.

Pretty clear that Murray doesn't care about fair value as long as he gets who he wants.

Doesn't necessarily have to be for ROR, could be a 1 for 1 or part of a package for someone else.

Better be a damn good player coming back if he's moved.

Don't look now but NYI could miss the playoffs how crazy
- gerbe75pts

As much as I would absolutely love this to happen for buffalo...

On a slightly more realistic note that the Isles make the playoffs, where is the talent drop off in the first round of the draft? If the Isles do go out in the first two rounds of the playoffs, where do we want them to be within? Top 20 pick? Or does talent drop off before that?

Ring up another goal for @JustinBailey95 as SSM goes up 7-2 on Saginaw. PP finish is his second of the night, third of series.

Before I turned 40 I promised myself I would never drink again at least 20 times. Now I just realize how much I like it.

He's also willing to burn a year on his ELC, something other teams will not want to do.

Really doesn't matter now though. He'll play at least through the 9th and the regular season ends on the 11th.

Even if they could get a contract done, would you really burn a year of ELC for 1 game. And if your O'Connor, would you really choose a team because they can give you one game at the end of the year?

Just saw the Doan hit on Letang. Unfortunate outcome but a clean, huge hit that wasn't exactly late.

Avalanche's 3rd uniform is purty.

I liked that Doan manned up and fought Downie on the next shift. He's not very good offensively anymore but that's a leader.

Didn't know he fought next shift, good on him, I agree, he's a great leader and that's just one of many examples of his willingness to do what's necessary to be a leader.

However, I don't agree that he had to fight just because a player got hurt when he hit him. I've seen it before and I understand but does a player have to fight when he blasts a slap shot in a players face who goes down to block a shot? Not entirely the same, I know but its a little absurd. I understand sticking up for your team-mate or trying to defend him when he's been hurt but it wasn't a malicious hit and again, its unfortunate Letang got hurt but its a little ridiculous. Not like Doan went after a Rookie and boarded him.

Doan actually went up to Downie before the faceoff and told him he would fight him if he wanted to. Then they did. That's what the Yotes broadcast claimed anyway.

What's up with Hodgson..he truly looks like a 4th liner.
he has lost all confidence. And don't tell me it is Nolan's fault. Everything is Nolan's fault and he only wins due to great goaltending...we know.

Wow, I'll look and see what I can find. Good on Doan, again but even more so. He felt bad, showed remorse and manned up.

This is exactly my view. Too early and there is no rush to just dump him for a 3rd or some mediocre player. Now if Murray can get a hard working young proven NHL 3rd line player I'm ok with that, some team takes a flyer on elite talent and might have an extra 3rd liner, but other than that I don't see the rush to sell at such a low point.

Watched the fight, yeah it seems like Doan pretty much said I'm not going to (frank) around, redeem your team-mate and get this over with so we can play the rest of the game without any bull.

Did you get a chance to read my earlier post about DOAN's Erratic Display of Strangeness?
