Lundqvist- he's excellent but I would never pay a goalie big money as Talbot was just as effective. Boston is in the same bind with Rask.
Girardi- he's terrible and a major hole in their roster.
Staal- solid dman, but definitely not dynamic enough to warrant his extension.
Glass- not an NHL player.

Girardi and Staal are not overpaid. The fact that you call Girardi a terrible player and say that he's a hole in the lineup even though we are 2nd in the league in GA with him player 24 mins a night against top opposition shows how little you know.

Thats kinda dubbing yourselves the best team to come in 2nd place... which is really just a bad 1st round draft pick.

Your opinion... obviously you can't keep the same team together every year. So, while this is a REALLY pessimistic view (after the fact view of course), but if you aren't winning the cup, I'd rather be out early or not even make the playoffs to build for the future.

Girardi has been our best defenseman this last stretch defensively. With the minutes he plays and the style he plays, it's amazing how durable he is. The guy is a pure warrior.

The Rangers are the team to beat in the East. Sather has done an excellent job since the Rick Nash deal. That was a surprisingly great deal for them, and to get Columbus to throw in Brussard was just unreal.
