I still can't see why he'd leave Detroit. He'll get paid, the youth is starting to come through and he gets along with his boss. I think one of those three would have to go horribly wrong for him to want out.

I can see it very clearly!!
More $$$$$$$$
If he decides to come to Buffalo, TP will give him his own bank.

It's not like Ilitch wouldn't pay him what terry could. He'll get top dollar from any team interested.

I've still got my eye on edmonton. Arizona and Buffalo gain points of each other then bam, oilers lose 9 in a row take 30th.

Have you been watching them play lately? Wouldn't surprise me if they go over .500 the rest of the season.

I honestly don't get this soap opera stuff at all.

All Tim Murray is doing is his job, which is to maximize the available talent for this roster long-term. At some point, icing a less competitive team this year is just smart asset management. People can whine about integrity and all that bullpoop, but it's within the rules, it is the most sure and fastest way to long term competitiveness, and if he didn't do it he would not be t be doing his job.

All Ted Nolan is doing is his job, which is to maximize the returns the organization gets from its players. We have several key young players on this team this year, including Ennis, Girgensons, ristolainen, Zadorov, not to mention future role players and guys like Reinhart, Pysyk and even Grigorenko. What Teddy is doing is showing some pride and demanding it from his players, and getting them to work pretty hard. People can whine about it but this also is good for the future of this franchise.

Now there's all this talk of conflict between them, but it's also fully possible they're smart enough to not just understand they're both doing their jobs, but to even think that's a good thing.

I just think this so-called controversy is a media invention, were on track to draft a great player while an old fan-favorite coach is building a backbone. How is this a bad thing? Why does someone have to be the bad guy in this?

Well said.

This is all a big deal only because of the draft class this year. Any other year, like last year, nobody says a word.

Anyone watching "Hockey Wives?" Ryan miller and Noureen were on. He really is a man of few words. Barely even spoke to his wife! His apartment is not very nice, either.

Especially Toronto. Terry could match the cash, Id suggest we are a more intriguing situation than The Leafs, who are a couple of steps behind, and whose dysfunction is widely known.

Agreed about the situation of both teams, but I worry about the ego of someone like Babcock.

I can only imagine him thinking about his legacy if he was able to make the Leafs a consistent playoff team.

Totally (and hi, Remy, been a while) - with Toronto he'd get a crack at eating the biggest, stinkiest piece of cheese out there. Finishing that monster would get him a plaque on the wall for sure.

Maybe a free t-shirt.
