Jennifer Jason Leigh. She was cute too. But I if I could invent a time machine, this first thing I would do wouldn't be to prevent Hitler or cure the plague or make a zillion bucks. It would be to go back in time and stalk Phoebe Cates.

No wait. I'd make a zillion bucks first. Then maybe I'd have an actual shot at Phoebe Cates.

Haha...no I'll just meet her before he did, and then I'm set

Seriously, it's cool when couples like them, or Harrison Ford and Calista Flockhart, stay together all of those years in Hollywood.

It didn't. I can't tell you how many Easters with my wife's family that I gleefully missed.

Easter is my favorite thing with my family. Dad hosts. We go out. No one is martyred. No one is in control. It's really nice and friendly and the time is limited to a couple of hours, so nothing gets awkward.

It's their mutual love of the Knicks. She owns the seats with her mom, though.

True

I remember being at a game vs Buffalo very late in the 06-07 season. A couple of loudmouth Sabres fan were parading around the concourse with a tin foil Stanley Cup. I'm pretty sure they didn't appreciate my comment of: "32 years still tops never and how's Scott Norwood doing these days"

Moments like that helped me cope with that season

- BiggE

I caught a Sabres/Caps game in D.C. around the end of the season that same year and also saw loudmouth Sabres fans parading around with a tin foil Cup. In April. In the regular season. Against a Caps team way out of the playoffs. It was embarrassing. They deserved everything that happened to them that spring and summer.

I wanna throw something into the mix and see how you guys feel.

Some only have Scott Laughton tapped out as a third line center. On this team behind Claude Giroux and Sean Couturier, yes I do believe this is the case. For other teams, I think it's premature to assume Laughton will only be a third line center. Admittingly, I was far from impressed with what Laughton brought to the table this season but on a team that's already deep at center, I can agree as a Philadelphia Flyers, he's only a third line center.

In the case of Brayden Schenn, I'm also finding it hard to believe that he taps out as a 20 goal scorer and that's it. Maybe he does tap out as second line player but to believe he is what he is and can't produce more in a season again is a premature assumption. When we acquired Jake Voracek, he was entering his third NHL season and he wasn't really evolving as a player. We all knew he had the tools, he just never put it together until he started playing with Giroux and getting help from Giroux.

I'm a believe that Brayden Schenn, Sean Couturier, Scott Laughton and even Claude Giroux are capable of doing more. I don't think Claude Giroux himself has "tapped out". My problem is assuming certain young players are what they are right now. My second problem is drafting from an already deep position that should be set for the next ten years. Centers have never been our issue. When we drafted Laughton, Sean Couturier and Brayden Schenn were already playing in the NHL and were already expected to be NHL centers. In the case of Schenn, this could change but the problem with this kid is, the Coaching Staff has yet to settle him in one spot. Now fans are once again ready to walk away, which sounds all too familiar to me. If we can fill a need of importance, I'm all for it. With this said, I don't feel we're as deep as we have been in past years with Giroux, Couturier and Laughton centering the top nine. I feel because Laughton has had to be "the guy", he has serious adjustments to make. Frankly, I wouldn't have drafted Laughton to begin with. I would have drafted a winger and by now that winger would probably be set to set in without issue right now, Growing Pains and all.

Florida real estate has not recovered from 2008. Still lots of dead properties there, many were going for half price a couple of years ago and a lot still lingering...

What i'm trying to say is, if we're giving up on a young player, we better make sure the return can help the team moving forward and whatever we give up better not be second best to what we're giving up. Some are okay with trading Sean Couturier and handing a shut down role to Scott Laughton. I'm not. If we trade one of Brayden Schenn or Sean Couturier, what we're getting back better be exactly what we need.

Ours lasts for hours. My sister in law hosts and cooks. She fosters 30+ cats in a trailer park. The space is cramped and stinky. The food is terrible and the company is abhorrent.

Ahhhh okay. I'll say this... I don't think it'd be smart to move schenn until our d prospects are ready. 2 things will happen by then- either he'll find his game and be a consistent 20-25g 30-35a player (what I think his ceiling is), or he'll stay the same inconsistent, streaky scorer he is now. And if he stays the same by the time our dmen are ready, trade him for a fair return. I think you have to wait longer for coots and laughton though, A- because they're both younger (coots only by a year I believe), and because both have larger defensive roles than schenn which can take away from offensive development. I feel like everyone on here (myself included a lot of the time) want the final product for our players, and they want it now. Which is unreal. It takes awhile for players to develop. Like I say almost daily.... look at nick foligno he's 27 and just broke out. Look at colin Wilson, he's 25 and just broke out, look at jake, he truly broke out this season, look at tj oshie he really only broke out last year at 27 as well. Some players just take more time to develop than others. That's what I think about this whole debacle.

We do brunch at a place with a really nice buffet that includes both breakfast and dinner. So plenty of choices. And great bread pudding.
