This actually made me look up what ever happened to Ryan Parent.

I hope they drop prices. I love going down on cool summer nights at a reasonable price.

That record is fake. Parent didn't have OT/shootouts during his career.

Parent acknowledges the record.

I'm interested in what the attendance will end up being on Easter. Because the NHL just screwed everyone with that time switch. Easter is non-negotiable. It's brunch with dad. He gets a huge kick out of it and I'm not disappointing his 92-year-old heart. I thought as crappy as the Flyers are there was no way they'd make us the feature game so the 7:30 time would be secure. Plenty of time to get back. But no. They have to subject us to another national Penguins game. Bleargh. But this probably got discussed yesterday.
- bodiva88

It didn't. I can't tell you how many Easters with my wife's family that I gleefully missed.

(frank) I miss that show. One of the very few sitcoms I'll actually watch.

Walking dead, and all that other modern trash is BS. Michael Scott, that is a man.

You aint kidding. A guy who could skate like that, and plays mean....but never seemed able to put it together.

Now playing for the Jets AHL affiliate for those who didn't care to look it up.

Frankly I was shocked the Flyers lost that game. How could that be possible with a defense core that featured:

Guenin
Picard
R. Parent
Kukkonen

Edit: Whoa, the 4th line that game was Ryan Potulny centering Ben Eager, and Riley Cote.

- PLindbergh31

Ahh, the famous PEC line, ohh the memories

Bill you mention that the meetings could get "heated". Could you elaborate a bit more as to what Hextall was emotional/frustrated/angry about?

Did Timonen leave on good terms?

- jak521

Yes, he left on good terms. Basically, Kimmo was adamant about intending to play if the docs cleared him and Hextall took a much longer time to get on board.

True

I remember being at a game vs Buffalo very late in the 06-07 season. A couple of loudmouth Sabres fan were parading around the concourse with a tin foil Stanley Cup. I'm pretty sure they didn't appreciate my comment of: "32 years still tops never and how's Scott Norwood doing these days"

Moments like that helped me cope with that season

As GM I've got to think Hexy was seeing a trade and didn't want to risk Kimmo looking terrible or suffering a setback that would've ended in the Flyers getting squat for him.

my favorite ryan potulny moment is when he scored the game's only goal against leighton in a 1-0 win for the oilers with 16 seconds remaining. it was a game that was openly predicted to end in just such a fashion right here in this blog. good times.
