Sigh...

Gaudreau . Hate him. (frank) BC, GO UML. Also Wideman
Wheeler. God I hated him when he was Bruin. Loved Stuart though.
No on VAN.

I guess it would be the Sens. Pass me a hamburger.

i have no hate for BC. i like all the hockey east teams to some degree. I'd be happy for that city.

UML has a great deal of my money So I root for them. I can get behind a team like the Sens, you can see how much they want it.

Yup. Systems Engineer.

Nice. I still skate there Friday mornings. It's in rough shape since UML(Lowell Tech) used it.

11 games in 18 days?! Damn, that's brutal. The schedule makers seem to have screwed over half the league this year with the schedule. A non Olympic yr and teams have to play 12 or more sets of back to back? Stupid.

Yeah they have something against the players. Bunch of sadists. However the Bruins don't get to use this excuse. They've been giving garbage effort since game 6 last year.

Agree with the garbage effort for the most part.

On a side note, I love how every time we played the habs this year it was a tail end of a back to back. Not that it matters in the grand scheme of this year, but you would think the schedule team would even it out a bit.

Well they didn't. This suck squad never attempted to rise above it and the GM made zero effort to help them. I for one am looking forward for this to be over. They're not putting the effort then they're not worth the time. Plenty of good Hockey out there to watch.

They need a frankenstein of Sinden and Chiarelli.

Sinden's trading skills and ability to see talent
Chiarelli's willingness to spend money.

Just somewhere in the middle of those two would be good fit. If they make changes in the front office, then Julien is probably gone. I give him and the coaching staff except for Sacco, one more chance.

Love your stuff, great summary, but I think you placed the Stamkos event entirely upside down. I watched the event live with the Bruins broadcast feed and watched the in between period discussion on the Bolts feed. Seems to be universal agreement, especially on the Bruin feed, that Stamkos showed great leadership in going after Marchand. The Bolts immediatly scored two goals while Stamkos and Marchand were in the penalty box. In going after Marchand, Stamos got his second career major penalty, nobody on the Bruins pushed back.

The idea that Marchand "successfully goaded" Stamkos into a fight is a bad choice of words that entirely misrepresents what went down.

If you are doing a post mortem on the Bruins season come this June you might be looking at the Stamkos/Marchand fight as the moment the wheels finally fell off the the bus for this season.

I did not see the Johnson NESN interview but it seems to represent a consensus.

Tyler Johnson on NESN during 1st intermission regarding @RealStamkos91 dropping the gloves.."that's awesome. he's our leader."

Yeah, I feel you no doubt. Just think that Marchand getting 91 off the ice for five minutes benefits the bruins more than the bolts. Mainly the point there

I agree- a Sinden -Chiarelli frankenstein would fix all the problems. Millbury married Sidens daughter, maybe his kid could be the GM?

Smith deal is killing me too. Chiarelli " we think he is a good young player" what games has Chiarelli been watching or better yet. Does PC smoke crack?

Well said I was thinking the same thing. Seemed like a very "homer" opinion of the situation that played out. And I wouldn't call it successful if the Lightning followed up the fight with 2 goals. Even if Stamkos didn't score them, his fight obviously started a fire for his team.
- PaskySens

100% agreed- there was a clear difference in leadership in this one and this is what has plagued the Bruins all year. As a Bruins fan, I have to tip my hat to Stamkos displaying leadership and sticking up for his teammate. His team rallied around this and buried us... clear swing of momentum. We haven't seen that kind've heart and soul this year and that's why we're barely clinging to a playoff spot.

I think the Smith/Krug contracts are honor contracts for taking a 1 yr pay cut. On the possible upside with Smith signed it may make trading him a bit easier. I dunno...
