I'm not saying that the Leafs should deviate from doing it right. I'm just saying that while we have some nice pieces, chances are it's gonna be rough unless we get a lot more nice pieces.

In the grand scheme of things, there are teams with better prospect pools that are in the playoffs. Lots of these prospects are gonna have to be hits if the rebuild is to last less than 5 years.

exactly, when you put the leafs prospects in context with other teams..they are really far behind. For a team that has just shat the bed for so long, they should be loaded with talent..but Nonis thought the team needed to send 3 draft picks for Dave Bolland and then they trade 2 picks to move up several times (and draft low upside players)

Nylander is the only real high end prospect... He has impressed me at every level he has played since the leafs drafted him. Leafs need 3 or 4 more players like him

We'll get one very nice piece at the draft, plus several good pieces from trading Kessel and Phaneuf, then another nice piece in next years draft, since we'll be top 5 again.

It will take time, a slow, steady build up of talent. People just have to realize that Shanahan doesn't have to spend to the cap, and if we're ten million under it doesn't mean he's cheap.

i dont think the leafs overall drafting has been terrible...they are average. they just have problems keeping players and picks and being patent with them.

Hunter and Dubas are a good start to changing that.
