Canuckbuck hasn't been doing too badly - it's just the US dollar is soaring.

Compare us to the Euro - not so bad.

288 USD for Tampa Bay City passes came to 371 CAD on my Credit card last week

not to mention that 2000+ CAD for my wife and son and me to fly there... out of Buffalo no less.

My family (parents, wife and kids) are going to Boston in a month for the marathon.

Because it's such a crazy tourist event, we had to pre-pay the hotel rooms back in November. At the time, I wasn't too happy.

I figure it probably saved us about $500.

Same! I paid for our RV parking at Bonnaroo at $270 USD and it came out to like $365 CAD!

Plus, I was planning to visit some friends in San Francisco but had to forego it because the flight prices were just too ludicrous.

I'm so glad that my postdoc pay will come directly from the US. I have some friends down in LA on Canadian scholarships and they're getting boned by the exchange rate right now...

Ugh. In March I was looking, at best like $700 with the most ridiculous layovers and flight times. (Not March Break weeks)

Looking at guitar/amps parts vendors in Canada, lots of them sell in USD. I have to convert prices from USD to CAD just to get something shipped to Montreal from Hamilton. It's ridiculous.
