he should play until they land matt O'Connell...then O'connell should play
- Michael Pachla

O'Connor will be on tv again tonight (with Eichel as well)
NBCsports is broadcasting the Hockey East championship game

For those who get the big10 network,
It's Minnesota (Fasching) vs Michigan (Compher) tonight as well

Michigan needs to win to get into the 16team playoff tourney
Boston U is a lock, Minnesota most likely is as well

Can't disagree with that Homie.

The question is which one do you trade, assuming the pick is Hanifin, because if that is the pick, there is 0% chance I trade him unless it's a massive return.

Ristolainen is not going anywhere either.

That leaves Zadorov, Pysyk, & McCabe, unless somebody wants one of Florentino, Ruhwedel, or Martin, which I doubt.

My game plan as GM would be to see if there was any way humanly possible that I could get O'Reilly out of Colorado without getting rid of one of the D above while also keeping the 1st round pick in 2016.

If that works, roll with him and Girgensons as your top 2 until Reinhart is ready, and that is your top 3, with the very strong chance the team finishes in the bottom 5 next year while being much improved, and hope to get lucky in the lottery.

He'll be a UFA after next season,
We won't have to trade anything or him!
I know, it's possible he signs with whoever trades for him, but I really think he wants to see his options & cash in
I like ROR a lot as a player, but there's no way I'd risk trading for him

Enough of this trap hockey nonsense! Not only has it been responsible for our shootout wins and loser points it is (frank)ing boring as hell to watch!! Reference NJ Devils.

People seem to forget, some of Darcy's " trash " is still in the AHL. So some that say we have one of the best farm teams in the league need to remember that.
- SABRES 89

I remember when Larsson was considered trash. Sometimes you just need to be patient. These players don't all look great at 19-20

See I'm not a fan of that at all. If he has a great season which is entirely possible than we are just going to let him walk.

Unless they restructure

Pens without Hornqvist and Malkin again tonight. They haven't won a game since Malkin went out. Smith back in goal. Is it too much to ask for 1 point?

yeah, stewie...and murray's already been quoted as saying the second first-rounder is in play and that he's after top-end talent in the 23-26 yr. old range
- Michael Pachla

The prize is McEichel, if we don't manage to get that then we need to get good as fasts as we can and if that means trading all of our early draft picks this year I'm all for it.

I think a lot of teams who may be in a bit of a cap problem (or even teams who aren't) would love to move some assets for the 3rd overall pick.

Its funny how playing with a couple of talented guys on your line changes how you play.

Not too much to ask. I'm excited for the games tonight! I can't remember the last time I felt this way for Sabres hockey. Maybe '07? But it's for them to lose... Can't wait for this bizarre paradoxical season to be over but will hopefully enjoy watching the last handful!

Hackett vs. Rinne seems like an easy regulation loss. Any points by Edmonton and Arizona would be lovely.

Kinda funny.

Any other year, rooting for the Sabres in an enemy arena was a point of pride.

This year...

So are you wearing your Filip Forsberg jersey?

No more jerseys...
I'm bringing my son to the game tonight.
Still can't believe he is 20.

Thank you!

These posters on here with this, Grigerenko hasn't EARNED it, Why the HELL would Murray send him up to for 2:00 minutes a period?? Why would you not want to see what type of creativity he might bring to the Power Play??? He is NOT a CHECKING, DEFENSIVE PLAYER, he is a TALENTED, OFFIENSIVE PLAYERS!

Why can't we REVERSE our THINGKING and REWARD PLAYERS for OFFENSIVE PLAYS and give out ICE TIME to players who TAKE CHANCES and put your OFFENSIVE GUYS in THE OFFENSIVE ZONE! Then PUT YOUR LESS TALENTED HARD WORKING GUYS IN THE DEFENSIVE ZONE! ??? How about if you don't play with an OFFENSIVE MINDSET then you LOSE ICE TIME! NOLAN is only rewarding players who PLAY DEFENSIVELY , "Playing not to Lose" Reward for "Playing to WIN!" and let the chips fall where they may.

I'm really confused now.
Having younger players in the A not the N..
1 -isn't his call...that is on Murray
2- is 100% aligned to the desire to build a Detroit style system of letting you gins develop nicely before going to the big shiw...it helps them
3- is aligned to the tank ... which is Murray/Pegula's STRATEGY
riding the hot goalie is Nolan Tactic of winning for the players benefit, period.

Lastly, you have to decide if you are in on the tank or not...if in, then all this is perfect for achieving the prize...except for Nolan getting more out of the team than Murray thought.
if you not in on the tank...welcome to years of runs to 1st round exists

- IonSabres

if the goal is to tank, call up ellis, thomas, macKenzie, irwin, reid etc
get some scrubs off the waivers to fill the roster at the nhl level

there comes a point, if you call up the kids, you need to put them in a position to thrive, not bury them on the 4th line, 12 minutes a game on D or in the presser

long term, that is not a viable solution IMO

it's like they want to finish 30th, w/o being too obvious at the expense of some of our prospects

just my opinion of course

Penn St F Casey Bailey was considered a lock for Buffalo, but word is that may not occur with Toronto, among others, making a play.

Bob McKenzie ‏@TSNBobMcKenzie
College UFA Casey Bailey of Penn State expected to sign today with an NHL team. TOR is a top contender to get the goal-scoring forward.
