I had em losing in the sweet 16
It's weird my bracket's not totally busted because most of the teams that lost I had losing either this round or next but Nova getting outsted tonight probably (frank)s up a lot of brackets so maybe I'm still in the running for my federally illegal winnings |

agreed and how many times do we sit there and piss away 45 seconds on a power play because we lose the draw and it gets cleared? - hogweed
Or win a faceoff on the PK, and clear killing a good 20 seconds. How many draws have the Flyers lost on the PK, leading to attack time and PP goals against?

I had Nova in the final so I'm busted. I was doing really well up until that point. I hate Nova though, so it's fine. |

I know. The Eagles have the potential to be a train wreck too. This could be an unbelievable run of futility.
I can't wait until next season when the other Philly GMs looks at Hinkie in envy |

Its a mess. Everyone got super excited for Chip and excited for the Sixer's to tank. I've said the whole time that the Flyers will be the next team to win it all and I'm still standing by that.
4 impressive D men in the system and we're staring down a top 10 pick in a great draft. I'm excited for this team's future at least. |

I'd say the Sixers are the most likely to reach a level of being a strong contender. In the NBA, you just need stars to become a true contender. The Sixers have put themselves in a good position to get those stars. They may already have some.
The problem in the NBA is star players rarely win championships before they turn 26-27. In the NHL, You can win a Stanley Cup with your best players being 22-27. |

The saddest thing is that I really don't believe their front office has any clue what a ghost town that stadium is going to be this summer. Maybe that will finally pull their heads out their asses. |

RAJ still thinks he can put together a team without looking at advanced stats. Wonders why GMs aren't interested in a CF who bats .300 with a .301 OBP, .235 slugging and noodle arm |

If you don't win faceoffs, you don't have possession. Simple as that. If this is the case, you better have damn good forchecking forwards. - SuperSchennBros
FO just initiates play. Puck changes hands several times thereafter during most shifts, no?
It's more improtant to have as many players that can get the puck/keep the puck in a variety of ways... versus a guy like Hall who could win the draw, but was guaranteed to be chasing the puck the rest of his shift.
On top of that, a draw between a 40's guy and a 60's guy still amounts to a weighted coin flip... the margin isn't significant enough justify carrying a specialist. I want guys that can take a draw, but also play the game. |

Is this another bad choice made by Berube? How many posted they wanted Bellemare moved up? He get's to play with B Schenn. What's the problem? How many goals have the Flyers scored lately? Why not mix it up and try something else? What you can't make up is how Berube is criticized for whatever he does.
