I think playing with the amount of youth that on the team now has done him a lot of good. It's a different atmosphere. Imagine being 19 and working in a place filled with people in their 30's and then suddenly the place hires a whole group of kids your age. Let the fun begin.

Plus you can add Doughty to the pro column for early defense. Also he brought up Hedman who is turning out really good, my location aside.

I agree that defenseman in general tend to take longer to develop,
But the stud defensive prospects are almost always a good bet, and usually produce very quickly

Best case scenario is a reg loss, nolan sticks with Hackett tomorrow and he gets lit up. We need nolan to start losing confidence in him.
