You hit the nail right on the head with this one. We have some great forwards on this team... decent depth- but until we have a TRUE finisher up front, it's all for naught. Eriksson isn't it, Smith isn't it, Lucic and Marchand are gritty wingers with some skill but they aren't really it. Pastrnak may develop into something close to it a few years down the road when he adds some weight to his frame and actually initiates with his body instead of playing on the periphery with his stick. My gut feeling is that needs to come from outside and those guys aren't a dime a dozen. The 'core' will have to be shuffled to obtain that 'go to' guy

Pasta does seem to do the magical move of initiating contact and spinning off the player so he is facing the ice and not the boards.
Don't know how you can battle for the puck with your stick if you back is to it.
He defiantly needs to work with Bergy on board play..........but at least he goes to the boards, so that's a plus! |

Freddie is actually looking like a serviceable 4th line C. Fringe forward at least. Stollery was a blah D prospect. Think Avs got the better deal there.
Hishon being hurt, he moved Cliche up to 3rd line C, and then Mitchell up to Duchenes Wing.
Weird moves but they have won 4 out of 5, so I dont see him changing it anytime soon |

Too many games this year were "Lost " by not finishing, they kept the opponent in the game and by that opponents knew they could beat them!
