The Sabres have to lose to the Devils and Predators this weekend in regulation.

Thank you for the thoughts guys.......

Let me add mine, buddy. I've lost 2 dogs in my life and it hurts terribly. I know you gave that pooch a great life, though, and hope you can find solace in the happy times you all shared.

Sooooooooooo....remember when I said after Lindback's first 3 or 4 games that he was starting to look more comfortable and that could be a bad thing?

I remember being told, "Don't worry. He's not very good." Well, I think he proved my point last night.

(frank) that. This is about deliberately giving the fans the two worst seasons in hockey history. Being an absolute embarrassment. Trading away franchise players. This would be one of the worst ways to fail. We've settled for second best our whole lives, and now we might have to settle for third best. No one should be happy with that. If you are then your brain is mush. You're a mindless zombie. We should have kept Miller, Pomminville and Vanek and kept pushing for the final playoff spot. That would at least be respectable.

Leave them out of it.

Miller Pom and Van couldn't do it so we should have over paid them to continue done that no win road ? ? ? ? .

I see we have some ready to jump from the Peace Bridge this morning.

People need to chill out. It's just a game. Stop taking everything that happens with the team so personally. It is not in any way actually affecting your everyday life, so it's time to take a Xanax and get over it.

I am a bit, but it is what it is. I have no control over it. Why should I freak out over something I can't change even the tiniest little bit?

It's not even that. Lindback made a lot of saves, but the shots and shot selection by Boston wasn't very good. That's what I'm more worried about: teams not taking the Sabres seriously more than the goaltending itself.

Well, maybe last night will serve as notice to the rest of the teams. We can always hope at least.

I have to say, I was surprised by the amount of love the broadcast crew was giving the Sabres last night. They were practically gushing over Risto and they even kept mentioning how good Weber was playing.

Lindback looked amazing. Glad to see it. Could be our goalie going forward. We do need one. Glad the rest of the team isn't playing like that.

He takes up so much of the net, sometimes he just needs to make sure that's what he's doing and he'll be successful. Boston needed to get him moving around outside the net a bit more. That's usually when he coughs up a nice juicy rebound.

If you let him sit back in the net and don't make him move from the crease, it's going to be tough to get one by him just because of how little space is left around him.

Yep. was the same VS the Caps. Even more so last night. How many blocked shots were there. Last I saw was 41-12

I'm less worried about the Sabres continuing to win games they get dominated in than I am about how the Coyotes just can't score goals right now. With only a 3 point lead if the Sabres win both games against them they are ahead.

Bruins Corsi was in the 90s last night. 90 something shots. That's crazy.

These are men playing for jobs.

Playing for and fighting for their NHL careers.

I applaud their effort last night not to mention it's always sweet beating Boston no matter what the circumstance is.

Thank God for Mike Robitaille adding some intelligence and levity to a moronic conversation headed by Simon and White while I was driving my daughter to UB this morning otherwise I would have switched back to 94.5 FM.

Clearly Roby and I are on the same page when it comes to this "tanking" thing.

Like he said, if you arrive there, you arrive there (last place).

He'd rather not arrive there smelling badly however and neither would I. (tanking intentionally)

Keep coaching them hard Teddy and keep fighting for your NHL careers guys and let the chips fall where they may.

For all the "play honorably" crowd, you do realize they got manhandled last night, right? Lindback made 44 saves. That means they faced 45 shots. That's not "winning honorably". That's "winning accidentally". As much as I can't stand him, Jeremy White is correct. This team has been artificially boosted by goaltending for an abnormally long time, and last night was no exception.

12 games left, plenty of time for this team to screw this all up.
