Get me individual stats first before we say he "cant win in cold weather". The same thing was said about Peyton Manning.

QB play means a lot but a lot has to do with the team in front of him as well. You cant win without the other.

I didn't say he can't

Since 2005 he is 14-16 in outdoor cold climate cities.

They're in their win now window, the length at this point is irrelevant. Just the fact that they were able to keep him makes this a win for the isles.

Edit: Talking about Boychuk if that wasn't clear..

I was on their boards a couple weeks ago and posted, and many agreed, that who cares how long he's signed - he's worth the money and hopefully they stay very competitive for the next 3-4 years and then who gives a poop what he does in years 5 and 6. A cup means more than caring about a cap drain for a couple years

The length and amount is an issue.

This has been Boychuk's best season by a long shot. He's 31 and history shows players like him begin to break down.

I hope it works out for them but I have some serious doubts.

I bolded his negative turnover ratio to TD's. With the way the current Bills team is constructed I would take almost every other game than the bolded. I mean some of his best statistical games were the 2 in Green Bay where he threw for over 400 yards had 3 TD's and no picks and they lost...

He's worth the scratch if he's played at this level for a few years. IMO he's playing well above his normal. For their sake I'd hope it isn't a fluke.

Lies

But seriously, I really don't care what happens to the Islanders after this year - at least until the Sabres become competitive again and the points / playoff seedings start to matter.

Free agent Jordan Cameron is visiting the Dolphins, and the sides have a "lot of mutual interest."

Per Rapsheet, the Browns and a mystery team are also in the mix. We can't really think of a good reason for the increasingly talent-less Browns to let Cameron walk, even considering his concussion history. Signing with the Dolphins would be a strong sign that Charles Clay is moving on to Buffalo.

W/L is the only thing that matters. His individual stats only matter for the record books and to himself.

He has lost more than he has won 14-16 in the past 10 years.

3-7 since 2011.

He seemed to do better at a younger age. As he's aged his w/l ratio in outdoor cold weather climate cities has dropped.

Agree. When he declines, it will prob be a steep one. How many years does he have left at this level?
2, maybe 3?

They'd have been better trying to pick up a guy like Boychuk through trade this offseason with a team up against the cap

Not true.

If we were talking about a signing by Toronto, Montreal, Boston, Ottawa, or Philly then it would be a different story.

I'm looking forward to the end of this season, aside from the obvious reasons just so i can go back to wishing the Islanders success. I like them, their fans, their non Rangers / Flyers identity.

Since 2013 he is 3 and 3 in those games.

Averaging 295 yards 2.66 TD's .66 INT's and a 67% completion percentage

Yeah like I said I am not worried

One of those losses came against New England...we know how good they are and one came against the Rex Ryan D of the New York Jets who so happens to be our coach...so again I am not worried

Besides their Super Bowl year, the Saints as a team have been mediocre
I don't think it's fair to judge Brees solely based on wins & losses
He's still a very good QB

Rivet, Regehr, and Gorges come to mind when thinking about that contract and Boychuk.

When it happens, it'll happen fast.

Again I didn't say he isn't.

Just showing the other side of the story.

It's not all lollipops and glow sticks like some want to make it seem.

He is an aging 36 year old QB that is going to cost a ton to get.

You said he was declining especially in out door games look at what I posted his stats average out to be in the last 3 years (6 games). Almost 300 yards and 2 more td's per pick. That is by far better than anything that has suited up for the Bills

You should be worried.

Relying on a 36 year old arm that is going to cost a ton to get should worry you.

He's not in his prime anymore.

In his lone game in Buffalo while it was a win wasn't the greatest played by him and that was the Super Bowl year.

His record from 32-present is 3-7

His record from 26-31 was 11-9

That is a decline as he's aged.

There is also no guarantee this defense is as good or the offense is there.

I'm done with this convo. I'd rather watch competitive chess than waste a Sunday watching a sport that is as interesting as watching paint dry.
