thoughts?

i have to feel at the very least, neither side has anything to lose.

at the worst, this has to put some pressure on dallas to up their offer, right?

It would be weird for the Eagles to sign him, but who knows. They seem to have no plan. They had all this money and wanted to spend it. It just seems like they're throwing money at the best players at every position until someone bites.

agreed.

its hard to argue with not matching maclin's offer. but i still cant believe there arent rumors floating around linking them to anyone.

i think matthews is a good one, but asking him to step outside of the slot and take on outside duties would be a tall order. huff really hasnt shown anything yet. cooper cant be anything more than a depth guy.

It would be nice to add a WR, but there really aren't any available now. They should have done more to get a guy like Brandon Marshall even though he's had his issues.

Outside of Maclin and Andre Johnson, there weren't really any worthwhile receivers in FA. I guess they could take a shot on Harvin, but he's an injury risk too. The whole team is guys coming off injuries

yeah. there really werent any guys without some sort of issue.

harvin isnt your typical outside the hashmarks number one guy, but i really think he could thrive in a shorter passing game. he is till pretty young and has speed to burn. but you have to wonder about the injuries and constant bouncing from team to team.

wallace is your more prototypical outside guy, but he isnt exactly a well rounded gem either. i just have a hard time seeing any QB back there having an easy go of it right now. i understand you hope the system will create mismatches, but even the patriots, the king of all plug and play roles into the system, have had stretches when lack of receiving talent has made things difficult on brady.

i think if they can somehow find another receiving weapon, a healthy bradford is going to put up some numbers. (granted, they are two big contingencies)

The LA Kings were never that bad in past number of years. At least not Chicago and Pittsburgh tank bad.
- SuperSchennBros

Why do people keep saying that around here. The kings were just as bad as Chicago and Pittsburgh. They picked #4, #2, and #5 overall over Lombardi's 1st three years. Now before Lombardi got there they were just mediocre and just missed the playoffs for a few years picking 11th overall in a row until Lombardi went on a trading spree and blew up the roster.

People need to stop rewriting history to try to use LA as an example that tanking doesn't work. If anything they are the ultimate example because Lombardi took a mediocre team and made it worst on purpose by trading all its good players away and drafting new ones.
