I didn't catch the "lack of effort" but man, TWO shifts and then you're put on the 4th line? I'm pretty indifferent towards Nolan, but he's not doing himself any favors either.

It seems like players that could be playing higher are given less chance than those that seem to fit the "Nolan mold." I understand that players need to come in and show effort, but if my boss wasn't using my skills effectively, I wouldn't put in the effort that I could. We all know how hard Hodgson works in the summer, and Grigo seemed to do the same this year. Their efforts in the organization, however, aren't living up to the mold that Nolan seems to reward.

It's a shame really. I don't really know who is at fault. The players for not buying in, or the coach for not seeing what's going on.

Even if Murray is trying to build "L.A. East" he's going to need some scoring.
I know he's not done building yet, but I wouldn't be surprised if Grigo turns out to be a pretty decent player if he's paired up with the right linemates. He's supposed to be a scorer, but then gets stuck on the 4th line where he's not going to score. Then gets sent back down to Rochester for not scoring...
