Get behind the guys we have, hopefully they make a deep run......But I am gonna be soooo interested come draft day. I don't think 3-4 of these guys survive that day even if they get hot as a firecracker.... (10,29,???), but I also think that the only source of roster fill for next year will not come from Rockford. Hopefully Stan is /was laying some groundwork for a significant deal with the Oilers, rumor has it, and like I said "rumor", some of the names bantered around both ways were Raantta, TT , Taylor Hall, Nail Yakupov ect. Plus maybe a Hawk veteran. I would love Taylor Hall on this team even if it costs Raantta, TT & Bickell, hypothetically speaking! If Stan could pull that off ?????!!!!

Don't get your hopes up too much about Taylor Hall. First off, that bonehead McTavish wouldn't trade him and secondly Stanbo has no cap cabbage to accommodate a $6M/year winger - who gets injured a lot.

And TT is locked into an entry level contract which is worth a lot to the Hawks if he plays well. Don't think he is going anywhere now that Q has admitted he likes his game.

Next September it will be Mark McNeill or bust with some Philip Danault as your appetizer.

Rick hypothetically speaking , if you deal Bickell & Sharp, that's 9.5, not including what you add , but if Stan were to make a mega deal to do a mini re build on the fly including some vets / young ones combo, you could potentially have enough to add a kid like Taylor Hall or Nail Yakupov, ( right up the Bowman's and Q's alley) to right a kids ship into becoming a high end potential player for the Hawks. So I think, yes there will be a couple of Rockford kids next year up but also the potential is there for them to subtract a couple of vets and add a couple of younger high end potential players like the a fore mentioned or say a. Huberdeaux and??. I think between 3-5 new Hawks next year plus they make a run at keeping Vermette & Desjardins. Don't ask how but I think there will also be a significant trade this summer also.

Look at these second round picks in 2014 www.mynhldraft.com/2014-NHL-draft-results/round-2 and let me know which one you wanted. Not saying Runblad is any good but acting like Stan gave away the keys to the bank is a little overboard!

Hey Moots understand your point, but I never wanted Runblad in the first place. And after that Erixon etc... My point again was and is Bowman should have retooled in the offseason after losing to the Kings and fixed the defense. That would have included the moving of Sharp/Bickell etc...

Hopefully with Oduya back this evening we get the top two pairs reunited.

Not just me.

Its the truth.

The game was even.

U wanna keep goin?

U got any facts to prove to me that the Rags were "the faster" "more engaged" "more whatever" That u keep saying they were?

Cuz ill keep giving u facts(though you've ignored them multiple times) as to why the game was just about dead even....
u wanna see them again?

- SimpleJack

And which facts were those again?
You downplayed the STATS/facts that i threw out there.
You have (also) not given any facts as to why the Hawks were the better team. Or even played them even.
Try it this way?
Whom on the Hawks was their best player for that game?

Give the man a prize(if he said Corey Crawford)

Also you have not even bothered to reply to "the fact" that the Hawks were shut out in 6 other games this year with the missing players you try and use as an excuse for the loss to the Rangers. (hint: they lost those games as well. You know since they didn't score a single goal in those games either)
I'm a "negative nellie" your a "koolaid drinker" And the truth probably lies somewhere in between.

Yessir.
It is quite possibly shaping up to be that. And that was not my own personal prediction but one of my teammates. I shared it here, that is correct. I was skeptical at the time but looking like, unless the team gets its act together, they could very well be looking at a 6-8 seed. And they could be (but not likely IMO) out altogether.

And as much as you and others want to make fun of me re Leddy, he'd have looked damn good on our blueline all year. Certainly the pairings would have been much better than we've seen. It's sad when the narrative that he sucks trumps the reality of what he's proving on the Isle -- that he is a damn good D man, can play special teams and help make his team better.

EDIT: just saw you added the bit about Sharp. Well, that's proven to be true as well. He is a POS, has played like total crap all year. And will be voted off the island soon enough. And yes, what leadership is Sharp providing? Other than being a locker room distraction and likely thorn in the side of management because his agent has to go crying to the press about Sharp not being traded. Boo (frank)ing hoo. At least when Campbell was voted off the island, he accepted his fate with dignity. Sharp OTOH . . .

Yeah...keep telling yourself that.
