I just don't get why he'd want to stay here. He's going to be like 4th on the depth chart at best
- Pierceme69

3rd down back. It fits the Fred Jackson mold to a T. The best blitz blocking back in the game (if not the best one of the best) plus he still falls forward when tackled. He is going to retire a Buffalo Bill

Yeah, but he didn't need to be kicked by the Coach on the way out the door. This isn't just something they were forced to do by the recall rule.
- Der Kaiser

This.

Even if you had respect for Nolan before this season still (HH), he has all but earned a swift kick in the ass on his way out of town. The guy regularly throws his players under the bus and he looks completely disconnected from everything. I don't want excuses about how he knew what he was getting into, he's a great guy, he has nothing to work with, etc...

They guy sucks at his job, plain and simple.

Let’s play what if. If Kap was really available and cap space wasn’t a problem, what would you give up to get him?
- jzabawa

Nothing, he sucks.

You do know it would take multiple 1st...right?
- jzabawa

You do know that no team is going to send multiple 1st round picks to them right? maybe 1(tend to doubt that) let alone multiple

Coach Ted Nolan didn't like Mikhail Grigorenko's performance last Friday against Ottawa.
"I didn't like his play," Nolan said. "For him to play at this level, especially with that much skill, he has to bring a little bit more than what he had. You don't really want to sit back and hope for things to work. You've got to make them work like everybody else. I just felt his play on certain parts was very lackadaisical. Didn't have any energy or urgency in his game whatsoever. Hopefully, he'll catch that one day." He started on the second line, but ended up seeing less than 14 minutes of ice time. Grigorenko was returned to the minors after the match. He's playing in the final year of his entry-level deal and he's earned 10 points in 56 NHL outings in his career.

I see no ex NHL Russian players have rubber off on him, he should make good trade bait.

Grigorenko is probably on his way out as soon as we hopefully draft first or second. We probably tender him to package him up with a contract or simply trade his rights.

While i thought he looked OK last week, one thing about this is that if nolan really thought he belonged here and could help the team win he would have fought for it(pysyk).

Above all else, it is completely unprofessional to lay out a 20 year old in the media like that. Even if everything nolan said is true, he is the real beady eyed douche for treating a young player trying to find his way like that publicly.

Seriously...... insert just any Sabres player name in that paragraph and it would read the same, Grigorenko must have dated Jordan Nolan or something without Ted's permission.

I want a super bowl, that's what I want. I understand what he has done for the community but if he needs to go he should be gone. Pegula pulled this crap before and look where it got us, not that i'm saying Fred is a bad player.

Correction on my UB post, may not be hockey related. More likely an NCAA bid for either mens or Womens b-ball.
- Buffalo-Sabres

Not sure how that could be. Neither conference tournament has started yet.

Unless you mean that they would be the host school the next time First Niagara Center hosts the NCAA Men's tournament.

So they asked Fred to restructure his deal, so that means IMO he plays less with McCoy and if we get Powell.

Nolan running his mouth about Gringo won't help his trade value.

I called the guy an obstructionist from the day he was hired. This is just another tab on the long list of reasons why.

Running his mouth in public about players is always bad, i'm getting the feeling now that his mouth and ego will cost him and I like Ted Nolan.

If Kaepernick is really on the block and I know the Niners say he isn't, do the Bills go for him ?
