We should have done a deal for Foles as well.

yes?

BTW, The Grateful dead are not very good. The best thing to come from that mess is Jerry Garcia's line of Ties.

No disrespect to Ralph Wilson or what he has done for Buffalo and the Bills but IMO, if he is still alive today we do not see what's happening with the Bills now if he was here. I can't see him trading for McCoy or spending on Jerry, I could be wrong.

If true and he doesn't land with Buffalo directly, maybe this makes Foles or Cutler available. I'd rather have either of them with Cassel as a backup than Cassel and EJ.

Bryce Brown and their 2nd for Kaepernick?

I want absolutely no part of Kaepernick.

A source tells Yahoo the 49ers are expecting ILB Patrick Willis to retire.

Wow, didn't see that coming, is he hurt ?

You are not wrong. Ralph was not a very good owner. He might have been a nice guy and philanthropic but Looking at his Buffalo Bills..they are Historically terrible. Down there with the Browns and Lions

With this Powell stuff I do believe Fred is going to get cut. Before Powell I think he stays.

The Hughes deal is a pretty good deal considering what he could get on the open market.

It looks like Fitz is going to be the odd man out in Houston. He would be the best QB on the Bills roster and I think he would work well in a Roman system given even more weapons and don't forget about the D, but that ship has sailed.

They already have a Fitz on the team....his name is Cassel.

FWIW: They never should have gotten rid of Fitz in the first place.

I don't do twitter but Joe B. was on the ESPN Bills page and mentioned that he thinks Fitz would be a good fit in Buffalo.

As did I. Imagine him at the helm these past two years? Probably would have made the playoffs last year. while EJ was getting groomed

I remember being so upset that draft year. I think they took him right before Buffalo picked and I had hoped the Bills were going to get him.

I think the Bills wanted him, I was pissed as well. Good thing we signed Hughes already.

Fitz is better than Cassel the only difference is that Cassel wont throw the ball down field Fitz will but it will be under thrown most of the time

IMO, I don't think we go anyplace if EJ is the starter, I can't see him moving this team in the right direction. I could be wrong on that.

Probably posted before since it's a week old, but odd to actually see "supportive" Sabres posts in the media.

From ProHockeyTalk:

(Trade Deadline Winners and Losers)

Winners

Buffalo

Deride “tank jobs” if you must, but Buffalo Sabres GM Tim Murray (pictured) is doing a masterful job of amassing a staggering array of assets. It’s genuinely difficult to keep track of all the futures Buffalo now possesses, yet Evander Kane + Connor McDavid/Jack Eichel should make the Sabres fun to watch starting in 2015-16.

(Assuming Buffalo gets one of the top two picks, which is fairly safe.)

Edit:

Also this in there.

Relocated Sabres

Chris Stewart gets a chance to inflate his value as a free agent if he can score big goals for the Wild. Torrey Mitchell could barely contain his excitement about going home to Montreal. Michal Neuvirth is a Jaroslav Halak injury away from an interesting opportunity …

If they were going to do that they would have done it already as they were in cap jail. They instead restructured a several contracts (including Byrd's)

Well, if you're taking Whaley at his word that he's doing everything possible to obtain an actual qb, you'd have to think he spoke with all 31 teams. There hasn't been any reports that Foles has been on the block. Sanchez was signed for 2@8 per, so that's non committal, high quality backup money. Either Philly wants to hold onto Foles because they don't have anything better in the organization, the price is too high for Foles OR if they trade up to grab Mariota, Foles becomes expendable. If that trade goes down, there's going to be a world of interesting going on.
- TheSabresTaco

9per 5.5 guaranteed.

But that's a bit much for a back-up, IMO. If they draft a QB, almost seems like Sanchize would start for 1 season to help groom the Rookie. Foles is all but gone.

I'd take Foles before that POS Kaepernick.

I can't stand the thought of 17(+) weeks of this is post-game pressers:

God I hate his face but let's be honest, he has one of the worst throwing motions I have ever seen and that year he came in for Alex Smith, teams had no film on him and I bet SF wins the Superbowl if Alex Smith is the starter.
