If true and he doesn't land with Buffalo directly, maybe this makes Foles or Cutler available. I'd rather have either of them with Cassel as a backup than Cassel and EJ.

Bryce Brown and their 2nd for Kaepernick?

Now the Niners GM is flat out denying the accuracy of the report. Says Kap is going NOWHERE.

I don't have a whole lot of faith in any team not having a legitimate "superstar" (Brady, Rogers, etc) at QB to make a legitimate run at a championship but with McCoy, this defense, a coach that won't punt in enemy territory AND a guy like Kap I think they'd stand a really good chance.

It's like a 50/50 split the last 6 years. For every year Brady, Rodgers, or Brees won the super bowl, Russel Wilson, Eli, and Joe Flacco did as well.

I do. Shelling 9M is a little rough for anyone who's not a top 5 qb or top 10 WR, but keeping this defense together is so damn key to the success of the Bills, and having Hughes here for all of his prime years is an excellent decision from the Bills. They'll be attacking Dareus' contract hard next year too. This defense probably has about 3-4 years of true elite potency, so we gotta strike now. So, not the greatest cap in the world, but I'd sign him up for that 7 days a week.

Speaking of elite quarterbacks, Sanchez gets 2/16M.

Quick update, 5/45M has not been confirmed yet.

Agree. They gotta run at it now. Still need a QB though.

Sanchez contract is just stupid IMO.

Does that contract mean he starts over Foles? If so could the Bills deal for him and would any of you want them to?

Sounds more and more like Freddy is going to be gone. Tim Graham is saying maybe by the end of the day.

Not necessarily. It's short term commitment. I don't think that signing is a testament to the availability of Nick Foles.

That'd be a real shame. The man is a Bills icon. It's a business, but that doesn't mean BillsMafia can't be butthurt about it.

i would understand people being upset. And it's no idictment on Freddy, because I think he can still play. But he's a luxury we probably don't need.

Agreed. .... Can't think of any other Bill that I've felt attached to like I do Fred for a long time. Prolly goes back to the Super Bowl teams. Like watching Thurman in a Dolphins uni

If the Oilers play like they did yesterday that game could be ugly. Nashville has been playing poorly though. I could see Arizona getting a point.

Absolutely. Someone will give him a go-round. I just hope at the end of the day, he can sign a one day contract and retire a Bill. It'd be classy as (frank).

Foles can really throw the ball. HUGE upgrade over the tire fire currently on the roster.

That's a shame about Fred. I'd still keep him over Dixon or Brown. If they let Fred go over those two they could lose some in the locker room.

I don't know.. Tough decisions have to be made in order to win Championships I guess.

Yeah, there's no way it doesn't happen.

I wonder how many years the guy has left though. Eventually all those knee injuries have to take a toll. I feel bad for him when he gets to his 50s.

With the acquisition of McCoy, and the apparent imminent signing of Powell, I doubt Brown or Dixon will see the field much, and probably neither would Jackson. I'm not sure which would be a greater travesty, not re-signing Jackson, or keeping him and making him sit the bench all year. The guy deserves to play somewhere.
